Is that a camel toe? Should you post this in SAMA ADAtT?

No it’s not a camel toe. I’m just wearing my shorts and have them pulled up… sorry I didn’t wear my sexy underwear for you. I didn’t think you’d like the competition since you’re being quite the attention whore these days

Sigh… the timing of this is just too much for me…

you could have worn your sexy underwear for me, but we will save that for later.

nice bruises though

Ugh… what a bleh and frustrating session.

Eliptical - 5min
Foam Rolling
Mobility
Pre-Hab

A1. Pin Presses 4x4, 2x2
95x4x1
115x4x4
120x2x2
**These were heavy as fuck this week. Last week I was able to do 120x4 and I was barely able to squeeze out my 2x2. Grrrr

B1. Inc DB Press
25x8x2
B2. Seated Row
90x8x2

C1. DB Tricep Extensions
10x10x2
C2. Rope Curls
50x10x2

I’m having concerns with doing Pin Presses not immediately after benching in a session. I can’t tell if I’m set up properly, if the bar is where it should be, if I’m flaring my elbows…overall, I’m just not confident with the movement at the moment.

In good news, when I was there on Sunday I managed to leave my blue foam roller near the leg press where all of our bags were. I didn’t realize it until I went to grab it out of my trunk when I got to the gym this evening. When I walked in today and saw Ouro and Ddot chatting, I also saw my foam roller sitting EXACTLY where and how I left it. Just goes to show that nobody has any idea what it’s for and so probably just looked at it a little and scratched their heads…

I’m sure if you left it a little longer, somebody would have tried to squat while standing on it.

Okay, that made me spit on my keyboard but only because you’re likely right. When we were there on Sunday, there was a guy squatting on a swiss ball. The temptation was soooo strong…

Or high kick guy would have stood it upright and tried his swinging jumping roudhouse pull his groin kick with it.

I got home from the gym a little over an hour ago and I already feel like I got hit by a truck. It’s my high intensity week (started Session 1 of 4 today). I’m going to go to sleep very very shortly…

Eliptical Warm up
Foam Rolling
Mobility
Glute Activation/Pre-Hab

Training:
A1. Conventional Speed Deadlifts 10x2 @ 60%
135x5x1
165x3x1
185x2x10 → needed my belt on the last few as I felt my form was going to shit.

B1. Sumo Deadlifts 8x3
185x2x1
205x3x1
225x3x8

C1. Reverse BB Lunges 4x10
60x10x4
C2. Pull Throughs 4x10
100x10x4

This session took me forever! I was so gassed after my first few sets of sumo that I would finish a set and literally just sit where I was and lean back. One of the guys was deadlifting near me so I used his bar as my backrest. Apparently with all chalk, bars and plates around it would have made a good picture.

I doubt I would have made it through that whole session if Scottie wasn’t there deadlifting/squatting right next to me. I laughed my ass off between sets, chatted, heard extremely inappropriate things and just had fun. He actually pulled a PB tonight at 500lbs! He liked my advice of ‘just hump the bar’ because he has a tendency to lean back instead of finishing with his hips.

Oh and I was bitching about being fat because the 3rd hole in my belt isn’t quite as “training loose” as it used to be so I went down to the 2nd hole so I could actually take in some air. A bit later I saw the only chick my age that I like at the gym (cuz she trains hard… she’s a figure competitor) and she told me that I’d lost weight and looked really lean. I told her how I felt fat due to my belt and she laughed and said she thought I was looking lean. Super compliment from a girl that’s 8 weeks out from a show!

And that’s my story… awesome night at the gym with Scott and Ouro’s nameless ex-bf lookalike and many others. Ouro & Todd, you two missed out! Although I’m sure both of you would have been annoyed at how obnoxious our corner was… I was calling it perv’s corner.

Oh and my hands hurt like hell and it’s a VERY bad idea to get your psoas ART’d on before deadlifting. It now feels like I have a monster cramp underneath the front of my hip and it kinda hurts to walk. I’m counting on it feeling better tomorrow

PS. I took my dog for a walk this afternoon and got shit on by a bird. I was not impressed, but everyone seems to find it f–king hilarious so I thought I would share…

I sounds like you have a great night. One of the fun ones despite running low on gas.

I’ll be in tomorrow night for my last training day. I’ll be getting felt up by chiro man in the morning but I think it’s more shoulders and traps so hopefully I won’t suffer the way you did.

I’m disappointed to miss the ex boyfriend look alike again. I suck at stalking.

Everyones right, it is funny as hell that you got shit on.

Isn’t it amazing what ditching that shitty old program can do for you?

I love your stories. You have a great way of mixing interesting happenings with big lifts

I know you’re trying to be sarcastic but I don’t understand what you’re getting at…

Okay, so I’m back at it after a bit of a layoff. I was beat after my last session so planned on taking a day off. After that I got really sick and tried to fight sickness with booze. I felt unsick, but then spent a day hungover hahaha.

Anyways, today marked the first day of getting back to the big lifts in prep for my next meet at the beginning of June. A lighter day to just get back into the groove.

Eliptical Warm up
Foam Rolling
Mobility
Shoulder & Glute Pre-hab

Training:
A. Squats
45x10x1
95x5x2
135x3x2
155x5x5

  • Took me a little longer to get warm and have the weight not feel super heavy*

B. Bench
45x10x1
65x5x1
85x5x5

C. Power Cleans
95x5x2 → These were more a power high pull cuz I wasn’t sure of my form. Got it looked at and felt better
95x3x3

These freaking beat you up and drain you! I’ve never done them before and bet I’ll feel it tomorrow.

D. Good Mornings
95x5x3
95x10x1

I combined my last two sets of goodmornings because there was this guy trying to teach his girlfriend how to deadlift beside me and was so horrible with technique himself I wanted to scream. She even told him it didn’t feel good and hurt her back (he was coaching her to hyperextend) but he persisted. I hoped he’d walk away for a minute so I could help her because she had been watching my set up for power cleans. I also suggested he get her to do it off boxes because he had her only using 10lbs on a side but he said no.

If I see her trying them again, I’ll definitely see if she wants some help, but I couldn’t take it anymore tonight. I was going to beat him with a plate. Weight on toes, feet leaning in, elbows bent slightly, hyperextending to finish the lift. That’s how he did it and how he was coaching her. He seemed intrigued by me when one of the regulars brought by some new guy and was telling him about my lifts, but not enough to actually believe a girl would know how to deadlift better than him.

Ugh. End bitterness and frustration.

Hasn’t anyone told you? It’s been scientifically proven that proper lifting form is imprinted on the y chromosome.

Yeah. It hangs from the nut sack.

On another note, let me know how your traps feel after the cleans. It kills mine and I love it.

My traps are KILLING me! My glutes and hammies are sore, my quads are sore and my lower biceps are sore. I haven’t felt like this in a while! lol
