1)You’re not cool enough to get a video at the beginning of my workout, so you get me at my sloppiest 3rd set - nyah!

  1. The dip belt was for dips, sucka! I’m very efficient, even if it makes me look like more of a douche. I was gonna wear a headband for the video but decided I didn’t want to look that lame.

  2. Those are 25lbs on each side - the camera guy is just far away. Fear mah curlz!11!1!1

The single leg squats sucked. They were literally barely a 6inch ROM. I was going for 10 reps per leg but stopped when I would fall over twice in a row when attempting singles.

Very happy with my front squats. They were done without a belt (and while wearing my pink chucks!). After one of my sets of 4 I went to get some water and walked by Hot Back Guy and his training partner. HBG said they were admiring my squats because I have the best squatting form out of everyone at our gym. (And no, Ouro and others they were not just looking at my ass… I was wearing super baggy sweats).

I’m sore today… my hammies are tight and my hips are tender. However last night I was able to hit depth without issues after all my rolling, mobility and pre-hab so I’m happy with that.

I hate to break it to you, but super baggy sweats are probably hotter than anything else.

Okay so they were checking out my ass. But I’m trying to get the point across that they were actually complimenting my form. They saved the ass comments for later.

As an aside, my body is so sore from yesterday. I’m bruised on my collarbone (?) on the right side from front squats, my neck feels super tight down into my traps for some reason, my glutes are super tight and sore, as are my vastus medialus(es?). Rolling hurt tonight. I got a good sweat going on just with that!

Well…yes. But it wasn’t as douchebaggy as it sounds because I’m comfortable enough with him that it doesn’t come across as creepy to me. I wouldn’t say we’re ‘friends’ but we’re certainly ‘gym friends’.

He wants to sleep with me and is upset that Bartl has ruined his chances of getting with me before I move to California. Again, not creepy or douchebaggish, just entertaining and funny.

Monday March 16

Tonight I was excited about training - I was doing deadlifts and my last deadlift session sucked donkey balls. It was when I wasn’t sleeping well and I struggled to pull 185 for triples. Anyways, today was much better :smiley:

5 min warm up on my most detested machine in the gym (Eliptical)

By this time I’m always already a sweaty ball of mess. But I know my glutes are ready to fire during deads/squats. Bartl is good at his mobility/pre-hab programming!

  • super speedy. Except the last set cuz I drilled my knee on the way down on my first rep and it was throbbing while I pulled the second hahaha

*I had two heavy sets to go after this and the guys that were around told me to put some weight on the bar cuz it looked like I wasn’t trying. One suggested 235, the other said no and said 245. So that’s what we did.

I laughed after my 2nd set cuz the weight flew up. It’s still slow off the floor, but as soon as it breaks, I’m locked out.

I really needed this session because deadlifting has become my new favorite thing and I was super frustrated when 185 was heavy last week.

I’m thinking of doing a push/pull meet at the beginning of June. The other full meets between now and when I move aren’t convenient for my life/body. I just need to steal some of sbmart’s bench strength so mine isn’t pathetic :slight_smile: I only need 15lbs of it so I can hit 135! lol
