You missed my spazzy maneuver after you left when I dropped a 45 and it rolled across the floor.

Also, after you left Pete demonstrated that on DL, his arms are so short, the bar goes past his package on lockout. I powdered his legs for him but said you could look after the package powder.

You are right in that all your lifts looked super easy. The 245 squat looked like a body weight nothing.

Thanks again for the help with the shirt. I feel so close now.
Apparently you wanted in on the rookie/spaz award too lol. Trying to show me up after I leave :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for offering my assisstance to Pete to baby powder his package. I truly appreciate it. No, seriously. I really look forward to doing that for him…

The 245 was easy which is super for me being less than 3 weeks out considering that was my previous max lol.

As for the shirt, no worries. It didn’t hurt my hands and I think we did pretty well with the seams to get it seated at least somewhat properly. I’ll help anytime except for at the meet. That’s what handlers are for. However, if the Niagara boys are around I suggest you get them to help you into it. They’re pretty good at it…

I use the ACV tablets, 2 of them 3 times a day, it does help flush out water. The 2 meets I’ve done I had to cut 5-6lbs each time and it was easy to do. No ill effects, and I’m a lot older than you.

I have a Jack Russell terrier, she thinks she is a lap dog but weighs in at a hefty 21lbs. She hates other dogs though, and picks fights if given the opportunity. My next dog will be a boxer, I just love them.
PMPM recommended something which I assume is to do the same thing. My concern is that after about Wed I’m not going to have an accurate representation of what my weight is for about a week or so.

I’m expecting my TOM just in time to fuck with my head about where my weight is, however it also ensures I will be at my strongest horomonally for the meet. So then the question becomes when do I start the ACV/Dandelion/Tara(something)…

Lila is our second boxer and has quite the bloody attitude on her. Cassie, our first, was very mellow and actually had some manners. She loved to play and maintained her puppy youth until about 3 days before we put her down, but she was never rude like Lila.

Lila likes to headbutt doors to get in them if they’re not closed tightly. She’s headbutted her way into my brother’s room twice since I’ve been home from volleyball, jumped on his bed and started licking him (he’s sick, so asleep)… poor kid… Now she’s crying cuz she got put in her room for an early bedtime because she was being so evil.

I played volleyball tonight. I generally play Sundays and Mondays, but due to hurting my back, travelling to California and the holidays I haven’t played in about a month. I decided to go out tonight and play and that would be it until after my meet. I just can’t risk getting hurt or over-exerting myself before then.

It was the weirdest night at volleyball. We did shitty overall as a team, and I was only mediocre. I played great defensively but couldn’t time a hit to save my life. One of the guys pointed out about halfway through our second game that I seemed to be jumping a lot higher.

This would make sense given that I’ve increased my lower body strength… this means I was getting up higher for my blocks and got quite a few, but also that I was late for all my hits because I was timing them how I usually do. When I did get a hit though, wow. I felt super strong and was killing it.

So while I played meh, I’m stoked that I’ve gained so much power in my legs and arms.

(Good story, I know. It sounded much better in my head and I’m sorry you just had to go through the pain of reading such a pointless story)

I had planned on starting my HOT-ROX a few weeks ago but I didn’t. I figured what better way to start a new year back at work then taking two this morning, feeling really out of it and tingly and sweating my brains out at work.

I forgot how odd it makes me feel and I even had it with my oatmeal this morning. I’m taking another 2 with lunch today and sucking it up. On a good note, because of how hot it makes me, I’m going through water like it’s my job.

I feel spacey, jittery and read to dance a jig haha.

Do you know if you can get it somewhere other than mail order through Biotest. I’ve tried it and like it but don’t want to wait for delivery and stuff.

I don’t think so… I got some the first time I was in California and only took it for a little while. I bought two bottles and before Todd’s show when he ran out I gave my second bottle to him. I can see what I have left and possibly share for the next few weeks…

I heard you can get it at Herc’s on Centennial. I don’t believe you’re “allowed” to sell it here in Canada because of the Yohimbine in it so you won’t find it everywhere.

eeek, you crazy girl Court…why did you take two? LOL!!

So I ventured out at lunch today and wandered the underground with a quest to find a GNC and get some ACV tabs. I accomplished it…

I walked in and at first when this chick asked me if I needed a hand I thought “Great…another useless-twat” (I’ve been spending too much time with ouroboro). Anyways, I found the ACV tabs and also asked about the taraxatone. She then looked at me with curiousity and so I told her I was trying to make weight for my PL meet in just under 3 weeks. Her eyes lit up - apparently she has competed before in the 60kg class, but now does more figure stuff.

She thinks I can make the drop just with the ACV and then cutting water on Friday before the meet, however I told her 148 is a “low” weight for me. She told me how to take the ACV and told me to come in and see her on the Monday before if I was still up in weight and she’d find the right product for me at that time.

The best part was when she told me about T-Nation as a site to go to cuz there are lots of PLers including women that could help me as well. I laughed and told her I kept a log on here. Apparently she’s a lurker and has read my log. How cool is that?

In other news, on my way back to my building, I saw a guy walking with a large carton of milk. I wanted to ask if he was on his way to do squats.

Oh and finally, I had my bitchy moment of the day… some guy asked me where the nearest subway station was so I directed him to one that is pretty easy to find from where we were (just continue straight… you’ll see it in a bit). He thanked me profusely and then said “I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name”. I responded by saying “That’s because I didn’t give it to you”, smiling, then hopping on my escalator to get up to my building. I understand he was likely just being polite, however I didn’t feel the need to give my name to a complete stranger… who knows, maybe he thought I was flirting with him hahaha

curious minds want to know what ACV tabs are? :stuck_out_tongue: How cool, your like a celebrity!
I haven’t met anyone IRL that knows of T-Nation…

Because I’m hardcore.

Or stupid.

Take your pick

(Only mom-in-MD gets a pick for the rest of you jerks out there)

I have 5lbs to go and 19 days to do it, so why not. I feel shitty for about 20-30min after I take 1 anyways and still feel jittery, weird, etc, so why not take 2… all it means is I feel like dancing to my music I’m listening to… imagine my bosses reaction if he were to walk into my office while I did that

Oh and he’s been gone since the beginning of December. I told him about getting into grad school. He was happy for me, but said he’d be sorry to see me go and would try to lure me back when I was done.

There was a mini-gathering of my team in the hall this morning wishing each other a happy new year, etc. and one of the managers said I was the only one out of all of them that didn’t look like I put on any weight over the holidays, so I was voted off the team. I decided not to tell them I actually lost some  heehee

Apple cider vinegar. Ouroboro is hardcore and takes the real liquid version of it. But then again, she also puked it up this morning. Dianab takes it too, but not sure if she takes the tablets or the liquid. I’m soft and opted for the tablets.

I vow not to have to sweat and spit my way into my 67.5kg weight class after reading PMPM’s horrible experience.

PMPM is a cautionary tale for us all. In more than one way no doubt.

I forgot to tell you that Pete and I were going to vote you out of the barn yesterday. Your heavy squats are making us look bad. You are out of here chick.

On the other hand, Billy’s friend gets to stay.

Yeah, I’m not totally useless. You can always use me as a bad example.

Hijack,

Hey NeelyDan,

Were you at the Burlington LifeGood on Saturday curling in the squat rack?

You are on a roll today, O. I’ve been drinking water everytime I’ve read one of your posts or messages and it’s almost come up on my keyboard each time.

Billy’s friend, for those unable to attend our barn session yesterday, is new at lifting. O and I both have him beat by miles at each of the lifts and therefore helps ouroboro feel more adequate. She’s making up for being small in other places.

Work is good for drinking water. I have to pee within about 30min of finishing my first 1.5L. I then make it a rule to appease my laziness. My bathroom is closer to the kitchen than my desk. As a result, every other time that I have to pee I have to finish whatever is left in my 1.5L bottle so I can fill it up in the kitchen while I’m already halfway there. I’ve peed 8 times since getting to work 6 hours ago which means I now have bottle 6-7.5L in front of me (that’s about 1.8 gallons by the time I finish for you non-metric folks). I likely will nurse this for the rest of the day and end up around 8-8.5L by the time I go to bed. Needless to say I currently feel like a cow.

When I’m old and grey, I’d rather look back on a life that has been amply used as a cautionary tale. It just means you did a lot and probably had a hell of a time doing it.

That’s my long term goal.

I have thrown up from the liquid too. That stuff is nasty. I will have to try the tablets next time.

I tried taraxatone (sp) when trying to cut to 148lb. I was 152lb and had not been 148 since high school. It did not work. I have dropped 8lbs on ACV and lemon juice.

So for our field trip to Goodlife, they have new member orientation sessions. I was hoping more for orienteering but whatever.

I wonder if the Upper James one has a whirlpool. Does the Burlington one have a whirlpool? I’m pretty stoked. At my Premier, we have a bucket under the roof leak.

I was reading their website and they seemed to be very focused on women only training. Are you taking me to one of your lezbionic hangouts? I’m okay with that if there’s a whirlpool.

Nope, no whirlpool. At either location. There’s a sauna at both. Also a juice bar at Upper James, whatever the hell that means.

Yeah their website is focused on women… I see a lot more women buying PT sessions than men, so maybe that’s why. We’re going to a coed 24-hour club so I expect it’ll be similar to my Burlington one, hopefully with a few more hardcore people to stare at you as we get you into your bench shirt. As for the orientation session you’ll have to fill out this piece of crap form. Maybe if we show up together they’ll let you skip out on that since I’m a member. I can “show you the ropes”. If you do have to fill the form out, give a fake number or they’ll harass you incessently if you don’t sign up. Btw, it’s at South Hamilton Square if that means anything to you.

cvb, thanks for the input. I’m going to give the acv a go. The tablets are smaller than fish oil capsules, so they’ll be easy to take.

Does anyone know why you would take it only in the morning as opposed to another time of day? This one recommends 3 with breakfast, but why? Could I not take them with lunch?
