I saw the video for that one on youtube where the guy shows how to make it, I made one and it works awesome.

Dawg did you ever try and build a GHR before you bought that EFS one? I’ve been searching for a design type but haven’t found one I really like yet.

No sir, BUT I have done various things for a natural GHR. Prolly the most comfortable one and the closest to the real thing was to use a small punching bag as the knee pads and use my efs Swiss bar to hold my entire calves / ankles. I’d just weigh it down on the J-Hooks. If you have just a regular bar, just use one of those “squat pads” aka the tampon. I affectionately called these “Ghetto” ham raises.

(on a side note, my forearms would ache when benching in a shirt, then I started punching this bg for kicks and noticed that my forearms didn’t ache any more. I guess punching the bag mad my forearm bones and muscles stronger)

Dawg you are the Powerlifting Bob Vila. Some good stuff in here.

Strengthdawg is an awesome human being.

I did yesterday mine reverse hyper, construction sucks because i dont really have any good wood.
Anyway i tried it on 70kg and it works. Pretty happy.
I will send pic when its finally ready, its not beatiful but i think it will work anyway.
Thanks for this pictures!

cool man, look forward to it!

Sorry for bumping this up from so long ago, but…would this work well in a powertec power rack? I ask because clearly your rack is much more solid than the powertec (i have the powertec). I’m just wondering if I create this and use it frequently and with a decent load, if it will ruin my rack over time or not.

haha, how’d i know it was going to be you when I read the thread title, always inventing and building cool gym shit. nice work buddy. Some guys around here modivate me to lift more, then there’s you always modivating me to get my ass in gear on my home gym. It reminds me I still haven’t got around to building the high bench I want to build, with rev hyper off one end. Only been 3-4 moths since you helped me think of it. mabey this week, anyway top notch, you should start marketing this stuff, or atleast sell blue prints. Good stuff, later

You’ll be ok. If you build one, don’t get all crazy with swinging the weight all around sure you’ll be able to do 3 plates a side, but you would get better results using 1 and going slow and intentional.
BOLT your rack down with something like this if you havent already. I got one in each corner. works great. Rack NEVER moves.
