16 x 30m

Light Band Crunches

Just did shorter sprints today since my legs are sore from yesterday. I’m surprised I wasn’t more sore based on how my legs felt last night.
How are the new shoes working out?

Man, that’s good you can handle high volume sprints. After 10 10m sprints, I’m gassed. More power to you man.

With all this sprinting you are doing, I’m going to have to call you Vader Bolt from now on.

Everything is looking great, as usual. I respect the conservative approach you’ve been taking with front squats. I don’t know if I’d be able to hold myself back from loading the old weights back on sooner, but you’re doing it the expedient way- the best way!

I usually start to feel pretty tired about halfway through, but recently I started having a single scoop of Workout Fuel that I sip on through the workout and that seems to really be giving me a boost as far as consistent energy throughout the session.

The shoes only arrived yesterday, so I haven’t had a shot to try them yet. If you saw the pics on my FB, both pairs felt really nice, but the silver pair felt AMAZINGLY comfortable, so I can’t wait to give those a shot.

Unfortunately, my left foot has been bothering me a little bit still, so I might just rest it this weekend. However, I still think I’ll manage to get to the track for at least a few quick ones just to test them out. I think I’ll go a little crazy otherwise.

Yeah, it’s tough to hold back now that I feel my strength coming back, but I’m just trying to listen to my body and making sure form holds. For example, after the second sent of front sqauts on Tuesday, I felt a little tweak in my back coming out of the hole. I was worried about continuing on, but realized that the ‘tweak’ was due more to my form getting sloppy than anything. So with all my subsequent sets, I just worked on staying tighter and making sure my form didn’t break down as the set went on. It was pretty smooth sailing after that. I’ll just need to keep working on staying tight and making sure my form is good. Eventually, the weight will get back up there.

Wait, so you bought TWO pairs of track shoes? If so, which do you like better? If not, how do you like the one you did get?

I know it will take a while to break them in.

By the way, I tried on the Vibram Five Fingers KSO. I did not like them, at least not when I walked around in the store. They were FLAT which was nice, but I was freaked out by the thin soles and how my feet might ache after a while, even if I only wear them in the gym.

I’ll have to look at the Nike Frees or Reeboks that you showed me. Chucks are too narrow.

What do you think of Dwight Howard?? Fucking savage! Orlando will take it from LA in six. Watch.

Yep, two pairs. You need to get on Facebook already. The Saucony pair is by far the more comfortable of the two, but I think the Mizuno pair will probably be better suited for when I run on my local track, since it’s a dirt track and the Mizuno’s have more tread to them.

For those that didn’t see already, the Prowler is finally on it’s way!

More good news! My buddy said he’s going to be at the tractor place either Wednesday or Thursday to pick up the tires. He said getting two wasn’t going to be a problem. Sounds like I might be able to get more down the line even if necessary. FREE!

Anyone have any recommendation on sizes or weights of the tires to get?

Killin’ it man. Both NBADraft.net and Draftexpress have Jennings going to your Warriors at 7. Hope ya’ll get him.

I hope so, too. Like you said, I think it would make us have too small of a backcourt, but to be honest, I’d be really surprised if Monta Ellis is still with the team by the trade deadline. There were lots of rumblings about Ellis being unhappy and wanting a trade after how they handed the whole moped incident and I’ve heard that Robert Rowell, and to lesser extent Nelson, aren’t completely sold on Ellis being a franchise player and would be willing to deal him for the right offer.

Totally agree on Maggette. He has the physical tools to be dominant player night in and night out, but I don’t think he’s ever really had the desire to be great.
Didn’t realize Ellis is being shopped. Think it’s funny that the year he came in he tested as the worst overall athlete at the NBA combine and slipped, and now’s a 20ppg scorer. Shit, if I was in management I’d see what I could get for him. He’s a guy who gets good numbers on a mediocre team and wrecks mopeds in his off-season, not a franchise player.

Good shit on your training man. Keep it up.

Tuesday 06/02 - Quads and Calves

I hate training with a headache. It’s so hard to focus. The good news is that everything felt fairly ‘easy’ today. The bad news is that I also felt a little ‘off’. Like I just couldn’t get in the groove for anything. Oh well…

I know the really large ones you see guys flipping on TV are around 800 lbs. I think I’ve seen 300 pounders and even around 500-600 lbs.

I would get several sizes if possible. Definitely buy an 8 lb sledge hammer and slam a tire for time. Unreal conditioning workout. Superset with jump rope and finish off with a 10 min jog.

Oh, you mean like these?

Dude that is sick, to have in the garage.

kmc

kmc stole your log.

Those tires look awesome. I’ve played around with hitting smaller tires with a sledge before but am quite convinced I would smack myself in the face with the hammer. I’m good like that.

Can you still park your car in the garage?

Yeah, my car was right next to the tires. I took those pics from an angle where you couldn’t see it.

The garage is a little more cramped now though. I need to move a few things around.

On another note, the shipping department just told me a rather large and heavy package just arrived for me. I wonder what it could be? Hmmmmmmm…

Yo I did not mean to get all yellow.

No worries, it’s happened before. I’ll have to log another issue in the Tech Support forum and they’ll fix it.

You are welcome to post in my log anytime.

I checked what was in the box. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Gwenyth Paltrow’s head. However, it was bunch of black metal objects. Could it be…THE PROWLER!!!
