That’s never been the case in the past. Looks like another job for Tech Support.

Ponce, the frigging Prowler hasn’t even shipped yet. No idea when it’s going to get here.

Yeah, I know. I’ve noticed this happening recently on a couple of different logs. It’s just another weird T-Nation “feature.”

They fixed it on Rugger’s log. I don’t know why we’re not special in PW and we don’t get yellow posts for our own threads. pout

Vader… I’ll burn you with hot candle wax. It’s no lava, but it’s sexier than cigs.

I made a post about it in the Tech Support forum, so hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

I’ve never understood why they didn’t do a similar thing in the PW forum. Maybe they just expected you guys to use the Training Logs forum for that.

I’ll take you up on the hot candle wax thing next time you are in CA.

FYI, Court’s flight has been booked! Careful though, it may be one of those wishes that you don’t want to come true (ever see the old film “The Monkey’s Paw” (or something like that). I’m thinking you may come out resembling Solo at the end of the Empire Strikes Back.

Haha…I think you’re right. Somehow, I don’t see me surviving the experience. At the very least, I expect to be seriously maimed. Hopefully, I just have temporary blindness like Solo did.

Court, we are making some Star Wars references here, so I’ll understand if you don’t understand what the hell we are talking about. :stuck_out_tongue:

Better than the permanent blindness you’re risking with your daily activities.

I’m living proof that’s a myth.

Tuesday 5/19 (evening) - Sprints and abs

Sprints
12 x 40M - Did about half from a kneeling position, working on my starts.

Standing Light Band Crunch
Light Band x 12,12,12,12,12

Thursday 05/21 - Hams and Calves

Sumo Deadlifts
225 x 4
275 x 4,4,4,4
285 x 4 - These are so much tougher now following Meat’s advice, but I definitely feel it more in my glutes and not as much in the back. I need to keep working on his technique queues though. I think I did a better job this week for forcing my knees out more at the start.

Seated Leg Curl
285 x 8,8,8,8

RDL
275 x 8,8,8,8 - Going to stick with this weight for a few weeks. Doesn’t seem right that I’m RDLing as much as my Sumo.

One-Leg Leg Press Calf Raise - 15 min EDT-Style with the Front Calf Raise and Hanging Leg Raise
230 x 5
250 x 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5

Front Calf Raise

Hanging Leg Raise
BW x 6,6,6,6,6

Friday 05/22 - Chest and Shoulders

Flat DB Press
100 x 8,8
105 x 8
110 x 8
115 x 5 - This was pretty rough, so I’ll hang out with this weight for a while.

Incline DB Press
95 x 10,10,10,8,9

Pec Dec
110 x 15
115 x 15,12,12

Free Motion Shoulder Press
70 x 12
80 x 10
90 x 8,8

Lean Away Lateral Raise - Supersetted with the Free Motion Shoulder Press
35 x 12,10,10,10

Cybex Machine Lateral Raise
115 x 20,20,18,17

Now I’m going to enjoy some BEEEEEEEEEEEEER!

I don’t show up for a couple days and all hell breaks loose. I fly into LAX on September 9th. My mom will be with me though, so we may have to save the candle wax until after she leaves. She’s not really into that shit.

While you have beer and pizza tonight, I am eating everything in sight. I just had a killer rice/veggie/shrimp stir fry. I’m going to have ice cream soon. I might even have a bedtime snack of waffles. It’s tough trying to put on 6lbs!

Note: I enjoy both pancakes and waffles. I’m a whore like that.

As, do I. I like waffles more, but I’ll eat either.

Other than the beer and pizza, I have some candy. I’ll share that with you, too.

Hey, you’ll be here just in time for my birthday (Sept 13th).

Saturday 05/23 - Back and Calves

Chins
35 x 6
45 x 5,5,5,5,5

Hammer Strength High Row
340 x 6,6,6
350 x 6

DB Row
120 x 10,10
125 x 8,8

Incline Shrug - superset with Rear Delt Machine
110 x 8,7,7,6

Nautilus Rear Delt Machine
185 x 8,8,8,6

280 x 7,7,8
300 x 7,7

Hanging Leg Raise
BW x 8,8,8,8,8

No sprints today. Although I did order a few new pairs of track flats to train in. My existing pair is getting pretty worn out.

The Prowler still hasn’t shipped. :frowning: I’m starting to get a little irritated about that, especially considering they billed me for it already. I thought you couldn’t bill someone for an item unless it has shipped.

On a more positive note, I was talking to a buddy at the gym about getting a group of people together to use the prowler and I say, “If we could get a few big tires for flipping and hitting with a sledgehammer, then that would be great.” At this point, he mentions that his brother-in-law owns a tractor company and said it wouldn’t be an issue to get me a few tires. As many have said before, I guess once the tractor tires wear out, they just sit on the lot cause they are a pain in the ass to dispose of. He said they try to give them away or donate them to schools. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get two or three of various sizes and weights, but we’ll see. I’m excited about that.

Nice work on the EDT-style calf raises. Hope your calves respond to the training.

OOHHHHH what kind of track shoes did you get?

HHMMM that’s weird on the Prowler. I assume it was in stock. Maybe they were waiting for your payment to use that money for shipping haha.

Keep rollin like Nolan Vader.

They are definitely more sore lately. I’ve always trained my calves fairly frequently, but I’m hoping the increased volume and the focus on really feeling the calves will make my calves grow a bit.

I’m really looking forward to giving those a run.

Yeah, I’m a little frustrated. Their website used to say it shipped in 1-2 weeks, but now it says 2-3 weeks, so perhaps they got a whole bunch of orders and are backed up a bit. It’s been two weeks now though, so I expect to get a shipping confirmation soon.

So I’ve decided to reorder my routine a bit. I’m basically going to do something like the following now.

Mon: Back/Rear Delts
Tues: Quads/Calves
Wed: Rest, but most likely Shoulder rehab work and cardio.
Thurs: Chest/Shoulders
Fri: Hams/Calves
Sat: Arms and maybe Calves
Sun: Rest or Calves along with Shoulder rehab work, abs and cardio.

Normally, I don’t like training Calves on back to back days, so this setup allows me to train Calves on Saturday or Sunday depending on my schedule and how I feel. Also, I like the idea of not having such an ‘important’ day on the weekend in case I feel like skipping that workout or need to due to time commitments.

An alternative would be something like:

Mon: Back/Bis
Tues: Quads/Calves
Wed: Rest
Thurs: Chest/Tris
Fri: Hams/Calves
Sat: Shoulders and maybe Calves
Sun: Rest or Calves

However, when I had a dedicated shoulder day was when my shoulder issues started, so I think I’ll just stick with option A.

Either option also allows me to get a little more work outside the gym. For example, after I get home from work now, I’ll be able to do the following:

Mon: Cardio (PM)
Tues: Sprints or Prowler as a leg finisher (PM) or nothing if it was a tough leg workout.
Wednesday: Cardio (AM) and then Sprints or Prowler (PM)
Thursday: Cardio (PM)
Friday: Sprints or Powler (PM). Again depends on how the legs feel.
Saturday: Cardio, Sprints, Hike, Prowler or “Fun Day” once I get the tires and Prowler all situated. I obviously don’t plan on doing all of these in one day. Just mix and match depending on how I feel, what I’m in the mood for and what I have time for. Once I get some friends to join me, I expect this to be more of a regular ‘thing’ on Saturday or Sunday for a few hours.
Sunday: Same as Saturday. Most likely, I’ll do the things I didn’t do on Saturday. Like if I did sprints on Saturday, then I’ll hike or tire flip on Sunday.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to busting my ass in the gym this summer. I just wish the dame Prowler would ship. I’m going to call my buddy on Tuesday to get more info about the tires.

Tuesday 05/26 - Quads and Calves

Okay, vacation time is over! However, you could call this workout, “The Power of Pizza!” I actually planned on taking it easy today, but I could tell from that first rep that today was going to be a good one.

Front Squat
185 x 4
195 x 4
205 x 4, 4
215 x 4, 4 - Was tempted to throw 225 back on the bar, but decided not to get greedy.

Leg Press
470 x 20, 20
480 x 20
300 x 50
200 x 100 - BURN!

Leg Extension
80 x 25
90 x 20 - I might have done more reps here. Kind of lost count.

Cybex Calf Raise
290 x 5/5, 5/5, 5/5, 5/5, 5/4, 5/3, 5/4, 5/3, 4/3, 5/4

Garhammer Raise
BW x 6, 6, 6, 6, 5

Got home and then did the following:

DARD
40 x 8, 7, 7, 6, 8

Ab Rollouts
BW x 8, 8, 7, 8, 8

Killin’ it man. Both NBADraft.net and Draftexpress have Jennings going to your Warriors at 7. Hope ya’ll get him.

[quote]WhiteFlash wrote:

I hope so, too. Like you said, I think it would make us have too small of a backcourt, but to be honest, I’d be really surprised if Monta Ellis is still with the team by the trade deadline. There were lots of rumblings about Ellis being unhappy and wanting a trade after how they handed the whole moped incident and I’ve heard that Robert Rowell, and to lesser extent Nelson, aren’t completely sold on Ellis being a franchise player and would be willing to deal him for the right offer.

Totally agree on Maggette. He has the physical tools to be dominant player night in and night out, but I don’t think he’s ever really had the desire to be great.

Wednesday 05/27 - Sprints

Sprints
16 x 30m

Light Band Crunches
12, 12, 12, 12, 12

Just did shorter sprints today since my legs are sore from yesterday. I’m surprised I wasn’t more sore based on how my legs felt last night.

Thursday 05/28 - Chest and Shoulders

DB Bench
100 x 8, 8
105 x 8
110 x 8
115 x 7

Incline DB Bench
95 x 10, 10, 10
100 x 8, 7

Pec Dec
115 x 15, 13, 11, 11

Free Motion Shoulder Press
90 x 10, 10, 10, 9

superset with Cable Lean Away Laterals
30 x 12, 10, 10, 10

Cybex Machine Laterals
115 x 20, 20
120 x 18, 15
