Retracting Scaps During Benching

Hey all,

I was wondering how many of you bench with your scaps retracted???

those who don’t…lotsa injuries or no? just wondering how much of a difference it makes…

I do it retracted if its low reps but anything more than 6 reps…its just too tiring!!

This happen to anyone?

Just did max effort bench presses today, with an effort to keep my shoulder blades back. Whenever my back wasn’t tight and my scaps not pulled back, I benched like ass. When I kept everything tight, the weight I was using seemed to go up much easier.

I always keep my shoulder blades down and back while benching; and squatting, deadlifting, rowing, etc., etc.
