That may be the case, but still I’m curious if there is a study or something… When gaining muscle naturally, does the strength of the tendon increase concurrently with every ounce of muscle strength gained? To put it another way, if someone told me that tendons are fully developed and full strength by a certain age, that lifting over time only adds a small increase or adaptation in tendon strength, and the risk of tendon injury always goes up proportionally to weights being lifted, steroids or not, I would also find that believeable.
So there’s two mechanisms behind it, firstly the broscience(ish) mechanism of muscular growth outweighing increments of tensile strength within tendons, of which DOES occur, thus common sense would dictate an increased rate of injury amongst novice lifters using. However that being said, someone who has been lifting for 10 years, near his genetic potential who hops on cycle and gains 20-30lbs on his deadlift (not that much, but a lot if you’re going from say 530-560lb deadlift). However if you’re suddenly going from deadlifting 175-375/415lb there’s obviously an increased chance of injury, as heavier movements aside from requiring more muscular strength also require increased tensile strength from tendons, of which take a while to adapt. This rhetoric is used by gymnasts, theoretically gymnasts CAN progress to more advanced movements at quicker paces of which they do, however much of gymnast training involves tendon conditioning, working on increasing the strength of tendons rather than focusing on increases/accruing muscular strength and mass as to avoid serious injury (tendon tears).
Furthermore there is literature regarding tendon morphology (development of abnormal/displaced collagen leading to tendon remodelling) has been demonstrated with the use of certain AAS in animal models.
One needs to remember however in regard to rodent models these studies are highly flawed, and many a time results in rodents don’t correlate to humans at all. As a matter of fact, much controversy and debate has arisen regarding whether we should continue conducting studies on rodents at all (given the lack of correlation at times and ethical concerns)… which I mean, are you fucking serious, they’re rats… not like they have a conscience like we do
literature also appears to demonstrate an increased incidence of tendon rupture within meta analysis of AAS users
Day 18: im upto 185 ive put on 25 pounds no bloat. Ive noticed if I eat clean I dont r get bloat. I wonder If bio-freeze has an enhanced effect to the muscles while on cycle. Ive had achs and it seems like either the roids just are a fucking miracle at revovery( like as soon as I wake up no more aches) Im also applying bio-freeze at night when I feel the aches and it seems to work so much more efficiently on cycle. No shoulder pains. I feel great. My mood feels great as well. I have never felt better in my life
I blasted my chest today with 35 pound dumbells and dumbell flies probably my best chest workout yet
Glad everything is working out so far for you. I doubt you’ve done 25 pounds in 18 days though, Probably just holding in a big sh!t at the moment.
Lot of water/glycogen retention. However muscle memory is very interesting. If OP was previously far larger than he is now and has had a lay off of 6 months due to shoulder injury or other variables it’s very possible with adjunct AAS he could put on a lot of muscle mass in 18 days (look at the Colorado experiment)… not 25 lbs though
Hey boys if you know youer body and your not going all out on your lifts like your gonna compete in a stongman competition its no thing but a chicken wing. Thats why your gonna wanna leave quit a few in the tank and over time throught the cycle increase the weight more slowly than you would if you were a dude whos been lifting for years. I know my body and I know what ( normal) aches should feel like and what aches and pains are not good. On day 5 of my cycle Due to doing a heavy lift at work and somebody fucking me over at work, a coworker who was helping me pack a heavy roll of vapor barrier accross the jobsite lost balance and through the end he had over his shoulder to the ground. I was at the tail end and as he did that i tried to throw it off my shoulder but couldnt fast enough before i felt that pain in my fucking lower left trap that has taken me out of the game time and time again working out. I went home way bummer, depressed, i just am only 5 days in… Fuck!!! Its the same pain in that same area of my trap!!! I was laying in bed pissed off at the dude that fucked me at work… Next time fuck that, " nope, go get the lift and boom it over to us"
I was preppered to just not workout anymore if that fucking ache in my lower trap didnt subside and just continue on with my cycle trying to just reap the benifits of trying to gain muscle on cycle while just using manual labor 8 hours a day as my workout because I can taylor around an injury at work and still heal. I didnt workout that night I got home applied bio freez to my trap it was bothering me( the same pain i had felt before over the years) i woke up… Painless, muscle revovered. I was fucking so gratefull! Its just down right fucking amazing im now able to recover from that trap that always bothered me. I dont have any history of tendon damage or ligament issue aside from whats going on with my shoulder and thats why I steer cleer from maxing out or going very heavy with shoulders or chest. I have sctrict form using moderately light weights im getting in anywhere from 8-16 reps only using 15 sec rest time in between sets.
So my question is… What advise would you give someone who (naturally) has been going through years and years of training and re-occurring injuries (muscle related) always seems to arise that requires the (natural lifter) to stop working out due to a dull ache and pain in a muscle that last for months and gets worse anytime he tries to lift again. Anymore working out at this point is just crazy. So… Thats me since 2008 i workout for 6 months and i have to stop becuase of that fucking trap. Or my muscle imbalance I have going on in my shoulder. I am able to pinpoint the weak muscles in my shoulder that I need to build, strengthen, build them up help them to speed up recovery. What if your a lifter whos had issues with (muscle) injuries and no history of tendon or liggie damage.
On cycle is this lifters muscles going to be able to heal better and recover faster, are anti-inflamottorie wonders going to that muscle? Is he building up a stronger muscle? Will the muscle continue to reap the binifits once the lifter cycles off steroids? Is this all the lifter needed was to give his muscles a boost to do their fucking job and recover?
Bro, do you even English?
You need to sum that up champ. I dont have enough tylenol to get thru all that.
Sucks you got imature peoole like this clown and the 1 or 2 others that litter threads with negaitve feed back and just try so hard to confuse readers who may be reading the thread. Its kids like this dont even belong working out I mean this clown just got done popping boners to the sears catolog just a few years ago. Just look at his nagativity through my post you cant take them serious they are just punk kids who really have no bisniss spreading thier bogus gosfol or opening their mouth becuase as you already guessed this dumb ass does not know what the hell he is talking about. I have pics to back up all my progress and experience through cycle. Makes me think if my audiance is just punks like the few that dont know shit and are littering my thread with non-sense… Why would I ever post my bloods so im not going to. Why spend my money
Great reasoning. Who needs bloodwork anyways. That shits for rookies! Feel good, look good then bloods must be good!
You should periodically monitor you’re health if you’re going to use anabolic steroids. This is constructive feedback and advice, not criticism I’m giving you now. Numerous parameters can be taken out of whack (acutely and long term) when using these drugs, as they’re not toys and can carry immense risk if used improperly. This is the simplest way I can put it, oral anabolic steroids (pill form, such as anadrol) are usually hepatotoxic (anadrol is), meaning damaging to the liver. Typically this manifests on bloodwork as an increase in liver enzymes, signifying the liver is working harder. However for some (genetically predetermined/lifestyle) their liver takes more of a hit and complications can develop even after short durations of use. This typically manifests as jaundice/cholastasis, liver failure, development of liver tumours and if extremely unlucky… liver cancer. Same can be said with kidney function, anabolic steroids are toxic to the kidneys in high doses, especially orals thus it’s pivotal to monitor kidney function. While these tests aren’t foolproof and liver damage can still occur in presence of normal liver enzymes, it is a good indicator. Keep in mind liver enzymes will typically be elevated on oral AAS, however if you get them checked (for monitoring or because you’re feeling funky) and they’re 3-10x+ top of the ref range you know somethings wrong.
Furthermore anabolic steroids facilitate the production of red blood cells (one of the many reasons we recover so much faster and can work so much harder on gear), how much this increment is will determine on genetics and dose used, anadrol and eq are particularly notorious for shooting up cell counts. If you’re RBC/HCT gets too high, you can have a stroke and/or heart attack, thus monitoring said variables is important. Cholesterol… anabolic steroids, orals in particular will fuck up you’re cholesterol (some more than others, @iron_yuppie has god status lipid genetics) through various mechanisms, thus it’s imperative to keep an eye on cholesterol and make sure you don’t you’re lipid profile (cholesterol values) too fucked up for too long.
I’m no doctor nor do I pretend too be one, however if you do manage to get bloods I will reluctantly help you interpret them if you wish (as I dislike giving medical advice nor do I want to get into trouble/potentially give out the wrong advice as I’m not qualified too be giving out advice)
Cardiac hypertrophy and overall weakening of the heart muscle is a risk with these drugs you should probably be aware of. Just because you feel and look good doesn’t equate to being healthy internally. Do you use recreational drugs, smoke or drink? If so, it’s best to lay off on cycle as much as possible (I know it’s impossible to say if you smoke a pack a day to “just stop”, however if you’re a smoker, drinker or use drugs known to be toxic to the cardiovascular system, limiting use of said drugs or going of cycle would be best)
Hey nuckle heads im heading to the doc now and yes im nobitored the whole way through but im not wasting on posting my bloods now im really not just because I know you 2 want me to haha. Going into today to have my rcb count checked.
Unless your plan is to exercise your fingers, throwing words longer than 2 syllables at Gollum is useless.
No bloat boys no sides just fat burning, new muscle, and rock hard you know what ![]()
K little bit of bloat sometimes but my weight only seems to flucuating by just 2 or 3 pounds and thats it
Wait isn’t it day 18 tho…
Who takes these pics? Nevermind don’t answer that
Theres no denying you have good arms…But the chest and torso, Start working on that.
