I am 47 years old and as I got older my sleep got more and more restless (wake up in the middle of the night and read for a while etc.). I have started using ZMA and sleep like a teenager these days. The differance is really dramatic.
I have used various supps in the past and I have never noticed any obvious effects from any of them, so I don’t think I am sucked in by a placebo effect here. This stuff is the shit and if you are haveing trouble getting restful sleep I highly recommend it…
good to hear, any gains in the gym or are you just sleeping better, I think ZMA also claims it helps with test boosting and strength gains notice any of these affects.

Hell, I’m 23 and was having decent sleep and notice a night and day difference when I take ZMA. Ditto on the recommendation.
I am 20 years old and ZMA helps me sleep much better than without. I feel a lot more confident and agressive thanks to having better amounts of test floating around in the body. It helps me recover really fast between workouts so I can keep hitting PRs.
I have just started using ZMA for the first time, and have yet to really feel the results. Does anyone else take in some kind of casien protein around bedtime? And if so, when in relation to the ZMA? I know they compete and shouldn’t be taken together…

I usually do it like this:
…
08:00 Steak, eggs or whatever
09:00 ZMA
09:50 Cottage cheese with organic peanut butter and protein powder
10:00 Bedtime
generally 30-45minutes before prebed casein intake is optimal time to take ZMA. this allows for it to absorb without possible competition and to make one sleepy from the magnesium.
a lot of people take ZMA with their casein and notice no difference in efficacy.
for those who do not notice the effects, they may not be low in zinc and magnesium. this is possible through any combination of better diet or better ability to hold onto mineral stores.
if you’re only after the sleep benefits i’ve gotten the same results from taking plain magnesium. i sleep awesome after an epsom salt bath (magnesium sulphate) also.

Can’t say I was made instantly stronger or anything but I think the improvement in sleep patterns will be positive for everything in my life, including performance in the gym.
