Rest Pause on Kroc Rows?

Ummm

Well I felt it was indirectly aimed at me, as in you said something that applied to me even though you didn’t aim the statement at me.

Chill the fuck out, bro

I cant speak for Wendler…but I was actually referring to myself :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lifter A: Dude let’s do bicep curls today. I’ma do db curls for 8-10 reps
Lifter B: Ok, I’ll do sets of 12-15 reps
Lifter A: !!! You can’t hypertrophy in that rep range!
Lifter B: Really? I didn’t know that… What should I do?
Lifter A: But wait… unless you mean Kroc Curls. If you bump it up to 20 reps you’ll grow.
Lifter B: Oh dang! You’re a genius.

I think people seem to have forgotten why kroc rows came into existence… The man rowed his way to the end of the DB rack. It stopped being challenging so he started fabricating his own DB. Then he start upping the reps because there was no other way to progress otherwise…

Kroc rows were created as a form of PROGRESSION. No one is doing that for DLing and Squatting cause you can always add a 2.5 each side…

Row your way to the end of the Rack. Then start setting rep records because that’s the only form of progression that’s left… Its not really ā€œKroc rowsā€. You’re just trying to PROGRESS.

Blewit is experienced working with baseball players. There can be ZERO weight room injuries when training athletes. If you tear Mike Trout’s bicep over some rows, you’ll probably lose your job.

That moment when the heaviest dumbbell in the gym is a measly 30kgs…

Gotta start doing meadows rows big dawg @Benanything

How much of a bad idea is it to use the EZ bar for rowing (one handed, like DB row, I mean) once you ran out of dumbbells?

An EZ bar would be pretty unstable with one hand. If you run out of Dumbbells, which is unlikely for a while since your at 26kg for reps, then add more reps. Or swap to meadows rows if you need heavier one hand rows as bean said. Or just do one of the hundreds of rowing variations there is and progress that way.

I’ve used the smith machine before and set up sideways to row the bar like a one arm db row.

I am too. His evidence is purely anecdotal and basically non-existent. He said that he hasn’t torn a bicep because he always pulls mixed grip and is conditioned to it.

I’m restating this to confirm that I disagree lol

I know I meant that towards him. Haha
