Respectable Snatch Grip Deadlift?

I was wondering what is considered a decent snatch grip deadlift. Yesterday I did:

135x3
185x2
225x1
275x1
315x1
365x1
385x1

@ 190 bodyweight, no belt. The 385 was hard but I bet the next time I try the exercise I’ll do 405.

It’s all relative. What do you consider a respectable conventional deadlift? Take that number, multiply it by .8 and I think you have an answer.

Or have your Snatch-Grip Deadlift be greater than your Olympic-Stance Squat.

Respectable is different from person to person, just keep improving and don’t worry about what other people think about your lifting numbers.

Actually I was looking for more of like a proper ratio. What should you do on a snatch grip dead compared to a regular one?

Snatch grip depending on grip width could vary in weight alot so there isnt realy any normal proportion.

I think the limiting factor there would be grip more than overal strength. It’s hard to haul a lot of weight like that (wide and overhand). I could see a fairly light weight- 495 for example- being a tough pull with that grip.

495 double overhand with a REGULAR grip would probably be pretty tough for most…

According to Poliquin, Snatch grip is 85% conventional grip.

And his arms are huge, so conventional wisdom says he’s right. (I’m not being sarcastic)

The limiting factor for me is my back!

Snatch pulls 135kg for 3reps. Not much more and my back would round like a mofo…

Koing

Snatch Pulls 135kg x 3reps
Clean Pulls 165Kg x 3reps

81.1818181818%

Should scale roughly the same for a 1RM.

I guess decent SG DL would be any DL over your double body weight.

Between 80-85% of your best conventional deadlift. Limiting factors would include the double over grip, and the different postion the wide grip puts you into, strain on different muscles then convertional deads.

I’ve pulled 150kg x8 snatch grip with straps, and reckon I’m good for 220kg conventional beltless.

So I guess my SG DL’s around 190…? So maybe about 80%?
