Reporting Illegal Immigrants

I’m usually just content reading the articles and forums but i had to sign up to say one thing. From the language you guys use its obvious there’s a lot of deep seeded resentment towards latinos. We are all human beings at the end of the day and yes illegal immigrants of any race or ethnicity should be held accountable to the laws of the country they are entering BUT wtf does what kind of music they are playing or you having to see them everday have to do with that? I have neighbors that are greek and I hear them play some weird ass shit sometimes but does that make me hate them? No. You racist white guys just hate these latinos regardless of their legal status.

My mom came here illegally since there was a civil war in her country and she saw a death squad kill all the guys at the bus stop she was at. She’s now a citizen and owns an apartment building with 12 apts, our house, a new car and is starting a cleaning service while raising me and my two brothers by herself. And yeah we pay madd taxes here in Jersey. She has had to work two jobs since I was born and still does just to make sure me and my brothers had a good education. Like come on most immigrants I know illegal or legal are good people that are really religious and hardworking.

What really gets me angry is that if you saw my uncles or cousins I know what you guys would be thinking ‘fucking dirty immigrant’ or ‘spic’ or something along those lines. I’ve seen this racism with my own eyes and it fucking pisses me off that people judge others just on the way they look. You don’t know what type of person someone is just by looking at them.

What a surprise, someone calls racism.

Its true, what does someone speaking their language or waving their flag have to do with deporting them? Being against illegal immigration one thing. Bringing up the fact that they have to become americanized is another. Here in the Ironbound section of Newark there is a huge portuguese and brazilian population and when I drive down their main street all I see are store signs and businesses written in portuguese, I see a lot of portuguese and brazilian flags, and I hear a lot of them speaking portuguese. Now do I want them to start waving the american flag and speaking pure english…NO. I just want them to be be productive members of this society and abide by the laws of this country…thats it. You guys are bringing up irrelevant facts regarding illegal immigration, like someones language, music, or flag waving. Thats all I’m saying. You guys seem to be just as pissed off at their culture as you are at their illegal immigration.

BTW I look white as hell, blond hair and blue eyes but my mentality isn’t an american one.

I am tired of having my car insurance through the roof, because people who jump the border dont bother to buy car insurance.

I am tired of waiting 3 hrs in an emergency room because I see so many abuelitas in there with nothing more than a cough.

I am tired of hearing “push 1 for English, y numero dos para Espanol.”

I am tired of seeing neighborhoods that were once beautiful, now turned into looking more like a Tijuana cesspool. Trash everywhere, and cars parked on lawns.

I am tired of going to Home Depot, and feeling like I am in a foreign country.

I am tired of hearing about all the identity theft that happens when illegal aliens steal Social Security Numbers. They have no regard for who they harm, and I have personally known people who had their information stolen. It is a nightmare to get fixed, but do illegals care? Nope. After all, they are here for “a better life” even if it means ruining someone else’s life.

I am tired of driving to San Diego, and seeing Beware of Crossing Family Signs on the side of the freeway. Imagine that, here I am driving on the 5 or 805 freeway, and I (going 75mph) am supposed to look out for border jumping pieces of shit?

I am tired of seeing signs in stores that say “se habla espanol,” because none of us should have to habla, we should be able to speak.

Now tell me sir, how does any of that ^^^ have to do with how anyone looks?

The reason for deportation is their crime of hopping the border.

The thing about waving their flag and not speaking English is a testament to how they are not respecting this country which they have entered into illegally in the first place. You say you want them to abide by our laws? The only way to do that is to leave (If they are illegal).

I never said anything about waving flags and shit like that by the way. I just hate the rap that some people get(racists) because they want to deport illegals.

But I would like to say that if you’re living in America(and not brazil, poryugal, or wherever), why not wave our country’s flag instead?

1.Anyone disregarding the law to buy car insurance AND is illegal should be deported, so I agree with you on that. Breaking the law in any country and making it worse for others that are playing by the rules is a good reason for deportation.

2.Don’t know why your using the term ‘abuelitas’ but whatever. I believe anyone in need should get help but someone in the emergency without a serious ailment should gtfo or wait till someone in a more serious situation is taken care of. BUT this isn’t an illegal immigrant issue ANYONE could be doing this not necessarily ‘abuelitas’ as you put it infering that they are all latino people doing this. Again you can’t attribute this as an inherent behavior in a particular race. Your trying to say that latino people take advantage of the health care system.

 1. This doesn’t bother me regardless of what languages would be there as options as long as there is one I can communicate clearly with, english is still there right?. In switzerland they speak many different languages which usually depends on the population in the area and they try to accomodate all of them. There’s probably a big latino population where you are. BUT on the other hand you could say that ‘if they accomodate spanish why not other languages as well?’ This is personal preference for me. So you have your opinion and I have mine.

4.You live around some assholes that don’t care about their neighborhood. But its not an inherent trait among illegal aliens. Some PEOPLE are good and help their community by fixing up the places they buy (like my family) some PEOPLE are bad and they tear everything down and generally fuck up the place.

5.Why? because they are speaking spanish? When I’m in an area like china town in the city or ironbound in newark I don’t get pissed because I feel like i’m in their country I’m actually happy places like that exist since it adds to the richness of american culture and exposes us to other cultures and foods(especially this one). It seems like you want EVERY part of america just PURE american.

6.So my mom is a piece of shit since she had the motivation to jump the border to not be killed by death squads? Again that problem wouldn’t exist without tighter regulations of the border. So I agree with better border patrol BUT not with the notion that since you jumped the border your automatically a piece of shit. Thats really offensive and ignorant. My mom has greatly improved the buildings we have bought and all my neighbors love her since she constantly helps out anyone in need. She is ONE good person, doesn’t mean everyone is like her but also ONE bad person shouldn’t stereotype an entire race or culture.

7.Again what bothers you so much about someone speaking a foreign language or is it just spanish that gets under your skin? As long as they can accomodate the official language of the country then who cares what other options they have?

It doesn’t have to do with looks per se but it has A LOT to do with someone elses language and culture. Apparently foreign languages, especially spanish, piss you off.
Like I think we’re on the same page when it comes to tighter border patrol, paying taxes, and deporting people that aren’t trying to become accustomed to american culture. But I don’t think everyone that comes here should become fully americanized of not be proud of their own culture.

Regardless I’m off till later, I have some things to finish at work then I have class and then they gym. So if you want to continue this discussion then we can. I’ll probably give up if it gets too crazy.

Do illegal aliens take advantage of the health care system? Yes. Why? It’s free, regardless of whatever treatment they need. Can any citizen you know of get the same thing free? Not that I know of.

How many languages must we accomodate? Arabic? Chinese? When does it stop? Of course it doesn’t bother you, YOU ARE LATINO!

No other neighborhood, other than illegal alien infested neighborhoods, look they way they do, period. Come out here to Los Angeles, I would love to show you how some your people live. You will notice that it is only those south of the border who do this shit. Like you said, Chinatown, Koreatown, Little Italy, or any other culture doesn’t look like a slum.

I would not be inclined to call your mother a piece of shit for what she did, but did she jump the border, or come here with a petition for asylum? Big difference there. Even those asking for asylum should follow the procedure. My family sought asylum, they didn’t just hop a fence.

These people do not learn the English language, I have seen people here illegally living here for 20 yrs and still dont know the language. I see kids translating for their parents, it is disgraceful. What made America is the culmination of cultures, not a divisiveness of them. We are not going to become Latino, your people need to get with the program and become American.

Yes people should try to come here legally but some of them don’t have that option, like my mom, since her country closed the borders at one point. But I do agree laws are laws but not every situation is the same so you could be deporting someone that potentially could help out the country a lot. Regardless, yes law breakers should be deported.

Like I said before yeah if your here illegally then you should be deported BUT there’s nothing wrong with waving the flag of your home country of speaking your native language, nothing illegal about that either. There’s no disrespect in waving your flag or speaking your language, disrespect is PURPOSELY not learning english and continuing to speak ONLY your language or hanging the foreign flag above the american flag, which I saw in a video on youtube and it was plain stupid…now thats disrespectful.

I don’t know about your last question, some people are just really proud of where they’re from and there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe they don’t identify as americans, who knows. I know that when the world cup comes by this summer I’m gonna be wearing my david villa jersey for spain since my dad is from spain and I’m proud of my heritage and their national team, is that disrespectful?

ok i’m really done now, i’ll be on later

Yep, which is why democracy is a joke. But this problem exists regardless of who enters the country or not. It has been going on since democracy was conceived and will always go on as long as it exists.

If we are to restore property rights to property owners we must delegitimize the notion of democracy. Ultimately, democracy is nothing more that the looting of property owners by the non-property owners. Then, the property owners take whats left of their property and go buy governmental officials to protect them and the whole process continues ad infinitum with nothing good ever coming about because of it.

That’s why I think it is hysterical to sit and read some of the comments in these threads about how sucky dems are compared to reps.

They are the exact same! They both steal our money for guns and butter and as a result none can really understand the correct position they should have regarding something as simple as immigration – a word made up by the overlords so that they can give the illusion to the unwashed masses that they are “helping” them.

They are not.

If immigrants are so proud of their home country, they why the fuck are they here? Obviously, the US is better than their home country or they wouldn’t be here.

Heterogeneous, divided populations cause the collapse of nations.

When my great grandfather came over to the US, he refused to speak a word of his native language. Back then, immigrants from the same country would coalesce in one town. None of the immigrants that spoke the same language as him would even talk to him until he learned English. Even when my grandmother would ask him about the “old country” when she was a child, he would say “Why does it matter, I’m an American now”.

Immigrants from a century ago came here to become AMERICANS, plain and simple. They abandoned their native customs (of course there are some exceptions). Nobody would have even thought to raise their home country’s flag above the US’s. Fuck, they’d come here and then go to war against their home countries. I’ve noticed that even those who come here legally today tend to do the same as those form a hundred years ago. It’s the ones who come here illegally that have no respect for the US nor anyone in it.

Did you know that in a study, 69% of Hispanic immigrants pledged their allegiance to their home country instead of the US? If that does not concern you, then you are a fool.

So, she wasn’t in any danger, save for the risks of getting hit by a stray bullet.

You just said that the death squad didn’t kill her when she was standing there. Did they run out of bullets? Change their minds later?

Yet she managed to come to America despite the ‘closed’ borders. Hmmm…

Yes, your ‘death squads’ seem quite chivalrous to me. No wonder she’s proud.

Quit trying to argue semantics. Voting for representative who then must also vote on stuff IS STILL democracy.

Illegal immigrants, (the ones who built this country) came legally through Ellis Island and followed procedures as a part of their stay in this country. They registered themselves with Immigration Services. They had enough class to do that. They also built this country from the East Coast, then moving westward. Those immigrants became a part of America, while immigrants today are showing more allegiance to their home country than to America.

Think I am wrong? Look at how many Mexicans are waving their Mexican flags in the streets, not American flags, but Mexican flags. Many have no desire to learn English, or our American customs here. There is this cultural divide that THEY instigate (i.e Latino organization of (fill in the blank)). Why can’t they be American, not African-American, Asian-American, or Latino-American.

If you came here for a better life, then you need to have the respect to adopt THIS way of life. There is one flag here, one language here, either love it or leave it. This is coming from a native born Italian, and I am saying that right there ^^^.
You sound like a fucking neo nazi, if you look at second and third generation immigrants they end up assimilating, there is always some give. Your fears are the exact same as others of the past, and guess what those fears never came into fruition.

And why is it so crazy that people have pride in their roots?

Are those 2nd and 3rd generation people marching in the streets? Where are you located Drew, you might live in BFE which would explain some of the confusion you have.
drewh wrote:

Pride in a country that failed them? So much to the point they had to leave? Why on Earth would you be proud of that?
