Renegade training and weight gain

To anyone who has tried renegade training for football - i’m following the programme to increase functional strength, but i would also like to put on about 7 lbs over four weeks - will this be possible on this programme, assuming that i am eating enough?

Also, I aim to do a two week cycle of mag-10 in the second and third weeks of the programme - during this period should i make any alterations to the programme, i.e do more focus lifts/ cut out other exercises. Any help would be really appreciated.

Jack,

I put on 7 pounds of pure muscle in 2 weeks using Renegade VIP workouts and MAG 10. I didn’t change the workouts at all and as far as diet goes, all I did was up my carbs about 150 grams per day. You should have no problem gaining 7 pounds in 4 weeks. In faith - Matt

Make sure you are taking in adequate calories and this is very possible. Coach Davies recently worked with a hockey player who was performing a very large volume workout and he gained well over 7lbs of muscles in a matter of weeks.

ThankYou
Coach Hale

With proper diet / nutrition, weight gain is not even a slight issue. Incredbily the Hockey player, Coach Hale reference went from 192 to 214 with a 2% drop in bf% over the summer - approximately 25 lbs in 4 months. Now I wouldn’t suggest that is anything close to typical but do wish to stress if you “cover all your bases” with training, diet and nutrition you will be extremely satisfied with your results. If I can be of help feel free to ask. In faith, Coach Davies
