I need some help on some of the exercises/routines in my hockey training from Coach. I emailed coach and he gave me some of the answers I was looking for. He said he will be traveling tomorrow so I am not sure if I will be able to get a hold of him this weekend. So, just in case, I am asking for some help from my brothers.

Med Ball Work
one hand twisting chest pass - how is this performed?
two-hand swing - like a two hand kettle bell swing?

Hurdles
right knee over - do I actually walk over every hurdle with my left leg outside the hurdles, so only my right leg goes over the hurdle? Also, what is the proper form for walking over the hurdle? (leg out then over, leg straight over, etc.)

1-Arm Power Snatch - do I use a barbell or dumbbell?

Janda - anyone have a good way to do these without a partner or the machine?

Lastly, I am training in OC and I will probably be training in the evenings after work (between 6-8).

Think shot put! Coil your torso towards your throwing side, uncoil and ?chest press? the ball.

Yes

Hurdles

Just guessing, but he probably wants you to do both right and left, but walk with one leg outside the hurdle and the other clearing it. In his book he showed the leg going over bent leading with the knee similar to a hurdler stretch.

Either one! DB much easier obviously!

Janda - anyone have a good way to do these without a partner or the machine?

Disclaimer- these are my interpretations only. 1htcp, stand side on to wall/partner holding med ball in 1 hand at shoulder height rotate hips/torso and throw ball with arm travelling horizontally. 2hs, I woul do same as with kb. Hurdles sorry no help at all. 1aps, you decide. Jandas just find something to wedge your feet under and then flex quads etc as described by Pavel. There will prob be others who can help more but thats my take on it.

One hand twisting chest pass= twist towards hand holding ball, holding ball with one hand outstretched then throw.

Two hand swing= well, it could either be the same way you do the KB swings, or twisting(lateral throws).

Hurdles - yes, skip over the hurdle with one leg(as you describe, but skip not walk)
Walk over hurdles= kick leg forward then walk right over the hurdle(it’s a dynamic flexibility routine)

One arm power snatch= I do it with DB, and as you snatch your right leg goes forward, then the next rep left leg goes forward.

Janda- I use DB’s with towels in between my feet and the DB.
