Relationship between our body and food

Ok. TexMex is health cuisine.

So I didn’t mean to start a legitimate argument over health merits of TexMex, but TexMex is traditionally cheesy, full of flavored ā€œcremaā€, cooked in lard and generally very heavy. While I’m sure ingredient substitutions and deletions exist to make it healthier, it’s not really TexMex anymore.

Keep in mind even the chips and salsa are ridiculous. Every ~ 4 chips is roughly equivalent to a whole tortilla, literally fried flour/corn flour and lard that is then deep fried again to become a crispy chip.

I have no idea exactly how unhealthy chili con carne enchiladas are compared to crawfish etouffe and didn’t mean to present a real challenge with my comment.

In any case, if I murder my diet one day with TexMex (or Cajun), a weekly goal to land on vs daily keeps me on track with leeway to do so in my diet.

I agree. They’re just Olive Garden breadsticks. With a tan.

You may be losing something in the translation here. TexMex and Mexican are two different food groups. I like both but, TexMex is my favorite! All that saucy, cheesy, goodness. :yum:

In retrospect your whole request is too vague.

Favorite food can mean anything. In your case , reading between the line. Its feels like your asking how i can fit garbage food into my nutrition.

Your going to get 20 different view points depending on people indvidual goals on here.
Plus … you have given jack n shit regarding your situation.
