RBlue's Training Log

Just for fun, my breakfast this morning. It should be my breakfast every morning, it was soooooooooooo good!!

Sauteed some onions and yellow peppers, then cracked three eggs on top, seasoned with cayenne and black pepper, turned down the heat, and covered the pan until the white on top was cooked. Add a generous shake or two (or three, or four) of salt, and you have pure deliciousness. They could only have been improved by some taragon.

On that note, time for bed! Night night.

You just made my morning coffee better! you look divine in those dresses. And love the shoes you’re wearing with the short black dress. Not that it matters but you have the best shoes of all three.

oh and thanks for breakfast - your a keeper

oh look…she is wearing shoes! Sorry, totally stared at those legs and missed the shoes altogether.
Hotness.

good to see you Rachelle. you are so damn adorable…cute pics!

yah, i caught that ‘installment’ portion of the payment statement. yikes that’s hefty. but that comes with the territory of becoming a doctor/dentist. you will do great!

yay for the apartment find-it sounds perfect. if you disclosed it, i missed what city you will be in…

Bridesmaid dress for wedding #2 in September. Very cute, shorter than I expected the bride would go for, more money than I wanted to spend… but I’ll definitely wear it again![/quote]

You lookin’ mighty fine girl. Good to see you back.

Ronaldo - See above  Oh, and nice avi pic, you’re looking real good.

Why thank you :). Also nice girl on girl humping! I’ll be checking the T-Vixen thread for a picture of your round and juicy behind! hehe

You look great in those dresses! Clearly you have good taste in friends, friends who pick nice dresses for bridesmaids rather than scary, nasty rags.

I once had a cheaply made (yet expensive) bridesmaids dress literally fall apart off me on the dance floor. Peach taffeta. Threw it in the trash.

That bridesmaid dress is cutie and looks freakin amazing on you, congratulations! Wow, Russian food, I’ve never had it. Is it delicious?

Beautiful dresses! You look gorgeous! And that breakfast looks delicious. I forget what breakfast is like…

Nice squatting. Um, yeah, popping hips are no good…get that looked at!

Love the dresses! Would like to see the back of #2 since it shows off your fabulous ass; you’ll need to get someone to take a pic of it! Glad you found an awesome apt! Washer/drier in the apt is way cool! Think of all the money you’ll save!

N - I’ll make you breakfast anytime! It’s funny that you say that about the shoes, because I was faking wearing heels in that pic. They’re actually a pair of flat sandals that I wore to the wedding I was in in July, because the bride wanted us in gold shoes to match the chairs (yes, she was serious), and she wanted me in flats so I wouldn’t tower over everyone else in the wedding party. I was more than happy to oblige her and wear flats - I was comfortable allll night!

Giterdone - Lol, glad you like the view (and the T-vixen re-post).

T - smiles I will be in London. It’s about 2 hours outside of Toronto. And my building has hefty security, which is good to know for any would-be stalkers reading this.

Print - Good to be back, thanks!

Ronaldo - The girl-on-girl humping was even more fun than it looks.

Kimba - Yes, I’ve been lucky so far with the bridesmaid dresses. The baby pink on hot pink number from July could have been disastrous, but luckily I had a tan, and the style of the dress was really pretty. I hope you unfriended whoever put you in cheap peach taffeta. That’s just not right! (Although I’m sure your neighbours on the dance floor appreciated the view!)

Owlie - Russian food (for me at least) is hit and miss. There were definitely some delicious items: random pickled veggies, cheese-filled pastries, egg & potato salad, cabbage salad, chicken with cheese and tomato on top, etc. And there were some items I’d prefer not to have again: cheese-covered fish, ox tongue (I think that’s what it was), some other random cold meat. But what I really love about it is the overall volume of food - just when you think they couldn’t possibly fit another plate on the table, they somehow manage to squeeze it on.

Masch - Thanks! I should definitely get that looked at. I’m going to see M for a verrrry long overdue MAT session tomorrow if I have the time, so I’ll see what he has to say about it. Although, the hips have felt a lot better since the squatting (my knees, on the other hand…). So you’re still doing the Warrior diet, huh? How’s that going for you? Are you enjoying it?

Green - I’ll work on getting a pic of the back of the dress. It might have to wait till after the wedding though, because as much as I love the dress, the lace-up back is a real pain in the ass to get into and out of! And yes, I’m very excited about the in-apartment laundry. I’m not quite sure the saved laundry money makes up for the more expensive rent, but if we also take into account convenience, it’s a total winner!!

Today’s training: Quick bench press/upper body session before watching the sytycd finale over thai food and white wine (and a turtle blizzard) with a couple of girlfriends. Today reminded me that I should really reset my max on some of my lifts, considering I’ve been slacking and have lost some strength.

(1) Bench Press 3x5/3/1:
75% = 115 lbs x5
85% = 130 lbs x3
95% = 150 lbs x1 assisted by spotter.

=> Working set #1 felt hard. Working set #2 felt really damn hard. With 150 lbs I paused on my chest, lifted the bar roughly half an inch, then struggled for about 10 seconds before I let my spotter save me. Grrr I hate getting weaker!!!

(2a) 1-arm DB row 4x10: 40 lbs
(2b) 1-arm DB OHP 4x10: 15 lbs
(2c) Jump lunges 4x20 (10 per leg)

I think I’m going to try one more cycle at this same bench press max, and if it’s still a struggle I’ll reset it. My ego won’t let me reset it any earlier.

Tomorrow is my day off, and yet again it’s filled with errands. Up early for doctor’s appt in the am, then I’ve got to drive to London in the early afternoon to sign my loan documents, and pay my tuition installment. I’m hoping sometime in the middle there to get to the gym for an MAT assessment with Big M, then head in for some training in the evening when I’m back from London.

Oh, and the radio in my car is broken, so I get to do the two hour drive in silence, with nothing but my thoughts to keep me company. Boo. I really need to get that damn thing fixed!

really, you cant be alone with your thoughts for 4 hours?

teach one of the voices in your head a new language.

If you have the extra cash, satellite radio is pretty awesome!!

funny about the shoes! in that case I love the flats:)

nice bench - 150lbs is no small fry.

Seriously impressive benching Blue!

HAH! Get a boom box for the car - go old skool.

sigh Everyone’s breasts… Ugh, bench! is so beautiful.
Little Freudian slip

That sucks about 2 hour drive with no music. I’ll die. Luckily I play music in my head

Actually, the drive didn’t end up being too bad… other than the road rage, that is. I’m an angry driver as it is, but without music it gets a little out of control. But who can blame me when the other drivers just won’t get out of my way?!

MiM - Unfortunately, extra cash no longer exists for me. I’ve got to be frugal. That has to become my new mantra. The shopping urge must be squashed!!

N - Thanks, I love them too! And they were cheap! I can’t accept praise for the 150 though, it doesn’t count when my spotter helps. I will own that 150 again soon though!

Masch - Boom box! Now there’s a great idea! Screw these fancy newfangled ipods and satellite radios.

Nikki - Yep, I play music in my head too! And sing at the top of my lungs. I love the looks I get from other drivers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha I remember when I did a road trip, I was driving by myself but had my iPod playing through the car radio and got really into the song, so I was dancing playfully and the guy in front of me must have thought that I was flipping him off so he got angry and started to return the gestures.

I learned to tone it down in the car from then. People are packing in their glove boxes don’t you know?

I have terrible road rage as well, but the drivers in FL are VERY crazy… and homocidal.

You’ll kill that 150 shortly with no help, no worries.
