I must add that the red purse is more like a small suitcase: I work on the road and can carry all my desk paperwork and stuff in it. Beats draggin around those little shitty things on wheels.

Nlmain, I’m with you, I love a big purse for day-to-day. That red one especially is gorgeous.

The black one is my current day-to-day purse. Medium size. Not much to look at, but I only paid $15 for it. :slight_smile:

The little one is my fav for a night out. It jazzes up a simple outfit really well.

omg…a purse thread!! over the last few years, i’ve become attached to purses. i talked myself OUT of a $3,000 Fendi when i was in vegas. i found a beautiful Dooney & Burke in NY at an outlet for a bargain. i will post a pic cause i LOOOOOOOOVE it! :slight_smile:

my 2nd fiance bought be gucci, burberry, and pradas… plural of each. when we split i had a stupid fit one night and threw em all into a bag, along with the jewelery he bought me, and left em on his front porch. in the rain. we ended up on decent enough terms that he gave me back that Prada.

the others he gave to his girlfriend. his other girlfriend.

i dont actually carry that thing most of the time, it’s in the closet atm.

T - I’m waiting for that pic, I like pretty things! A $3000 purse is over the top though - I thought I was bad with my $250+ Coach I got at the outlet in Vegas. You were smart to walk away… although Fendi makes some beauuuutiful stuff.

CBear - That story makes me sad too! I get why you did it, though. Having all that stuff around that reminds you of him, especially when you’re really pissed off, can be almost unbearable.

I can’t believe he gave it all to the new girl. Does she know where they came from?

Training: 5/3/1 Wave IV, Week 1.

New 1RM values:

Squat - 175 lbs - I’m gonna stick at this for now, and see how these next few weeks go.

Bench Press - 145.5 lbs

Deadlift - 246 lbs

OHP - 82.5 lbs

These next four weeks should be interesting, because the 1RM values I’m basing my training on are all (aside from the squat) above my actual 1RMs when I started 5/3/1. I think I may re-test my values after this next wave (which will also allow me to get my training synched up to my cycle again, after it went all wonky last month).

Today:

(1) Squat 3x5
65% = 115 lbs x5
75% = 130 lbs x5
85% = 150 lbs x8

=> I think this closer-stance (roughly shoulder-width) squatting is agreeing with me. I videotaped the squats, and I’m getting in the hole way more easily. There’s still a little ‘tucking under’ of my pelvis, but I think the back position I’m maintaining is pretty good.

If anyone disagrees or has feedback though, please share when I get the vids posted!

(2) Zercher Squat 5 reps/set: Bar/95/115/135/145 lbs x3 sets

=> I tried these out after they were suggested by a handsome friend. :slight_smile: They’re really hard, but I LOVE them! I felt my abs working really hard on these, along with my glutes. I got video of these too.

(3) DB RDL 4x10: 50 lbs

(4) Band leg curls 6x8 (3 sets bilateral, 3 sets left leg only): Blue band

(5) Weighted plank 3x30s: 25 lbs

Stationary Bike: 20 min total
3 min warmup
10 min HIIT - 30s high intensity/60s recovery
7 min LISS/cool down

Money set of Back Squats - 150 lbs x 8
