Raw Power

Onesies are looking good! Proof that 90% plus work also builds strength. Granted you have a lot of working sets but your focus has been on onesies. Interested in what’s next.
Great job JK!

Wow that really is sweeeeeet progress in that time frame…well done Jack.

Brian is right, that’s a lot of work. Nice job.

Holy crap! 65# in 20 days? Amazing. Congrats!

Thanks folks! GV, I don’t mind benching after squatting but I’m not sure it give me anything extra.

Squats: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x3, 275 x1, 315 x1, 365 x1, 405 x1, 425 x1, 445 x1, 405 x1, 365 x1.

Bench: 45 x20, 135 x5, 185 x3, 225 x1, 275 x1, 305 x miss, 275 x2, 245 x5, 225 x8.

Notes: I felt crappy and a little sick today so I did this and left. 445 felt very heavy but it went. I think I had the 305 bench but I hit the rack and it stopped dead. Maybe next time.

Nice squatting Jack! Planning on doing a meet any time soon?

Maybe December. It depends on my work schedule.

Where is there a meet in December? I was just wondering, it’s probably way too soon for me. I’m gunning for February.

Jack,

The reason that 445 “felt really heavy” is because it is really heavy. You should know that by now.

Fife Power Company Holiday Classic Dec. 7, 2013.

Some people’s crappy days are other’s best days.

Thanks for the info Jack. Hopefully you can make it, you’ve put in a lot of hard work.

We’ll see about the meet. I’d like to do it if my schedule permits.

Squats: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x3, 275 x1, 315 x1, 365 x1, 405 x1, 425 x1, 450 x1, 405 x1, 365 x1.

Bench: 45 x20, 135 x5, 185 x3, 225 x1, 275 x1, 305 x1, 275 x2, 245 x5, 225 x9.

Chins: 10, 8, 7.

Notes: I got a little halloween-candy bump and hit some good lifts. 450 is getting close to may all time gym-lift PR. It was about all I had to dig through my sticking point but it went. I’m starting to feel like 500 is a realistic squat goal this year. 305 on bench was heavy but it went up pretty solid with no chest bounce. The pause could have been longer but it was a pretty solid lift.

freakin’ good work in here brother!! have a great weekend

Push it through to 500, you are doing fantastic! I just felt sick after pillaging the kids candy.

Thanks fellas!

Deads: Press 45 x20, 95 x5, 115 x3, 135 x1, 155 x1, 175 x1, 200 x1, 175 x3, 155 x6, 135 x10.

Deads: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x3, 315 x1, 365 x1, 415 x1, 455 x1, 475 x1.

DB OHP: 65s x 10,10, 7.

Notes: 475 was a grinder but it went. 200 on the press was heavy but it came up pretty fast. Its nice to be out of the 100s on that lift.

JJack,

The 475 was grinder because of the 60 reps you did before it (I’m just guessing as math is not my strong suit) great work.

Nice work JK!
A 500 pull is coming soon and a 200lb press is stout.

Solid progress Jack.
