Raw Power

training is looking solid- 205 and under is a good good weight for you.
nice work

315x7 is excellent work…I wonder if allergies are wreaking havoc on me as well

Thanks fellas! Matty, I’ve never had allergies this bad. I broke down and used Afrin, after trying just about everything else, and I couldn’t even get the Afrin into my sinuses because they were so backed up. I had to hit the steam room and then try three or four shots before the Afrin even started to work, and that shit usually works like magic.

Looking forward to Olympics tonight, I can’t wait for the diving to start.

Morning BW 201.6. Deadlifts later.

Nice. Closing in on the Two Hundy mark. Slow down a little so you can give me a chance to catch up with you, lol.

Jack, check your email

Got it hawkcapt., thanks!

3’s day, deads, TM 420.

Deads: 45 x10, 135 x5, 225 x5, 285 x3, 335 x3, 380 x10.

Zerchers (from Pin 2): 135 x5, 185 x1, 235 x1, 285 x1, 335 x1.

GMs: 135 x5, 155 x5, 175 x5.

Notes: Deads felt fast and solid today. The last Zercher didn’t want to move off the pins at first, and it was a grinder. I saw stars afterwords.

Side Notes: I bought 500 grams of snickerdoodles post-workout, but only choked down half of them. I think I’ll stick with pancakes or rice for the refeed, these didn’t sit well.

Looking lean and mean Jack. My youngest son has seasonal allergies that bad. No fun at all.

Nice pulls, killer reps on that last set. On the Zerchers are you dead stopped off the pins??

Jack, have you noticed much change in your leverages with the weight loss?

Steve, thanks for checking on me.

Bruce, yes, i start and finish Zerchers on the bottom, off the pins, like an Anderson squat.

Hawk, I honestly feel like my leverages are better on deads, but its making squats tough. I feel like I’m getting crushed in the mid section on the heavier sets in a way I never felt when I was heavier. I probably need more core work to compensate.

HIIT: Skiied one set, 8 passes. Bench tomorrow.

Hope that new board is working for you. I almost pulled the trigger on a high end slalom ski then had to move and sell the boat. I have the same basic issue with the new fangled snow ski’s. Use to slalom with 205cm Rossi’s and now everything is well below 200cm.

Been meaning to let you know your deadlifts are looking really good at the lower BW. I think your total max setting is too low if you are cranking out that many reps at the high end of your 1RM %.

Good work all round. I’ll bet chins and dips are feeling a lot easier.

Good work in here.

I remember dropping weight for a show, bench numbers went in the toilet…but chinups were a breeze!

OMP, I haven’t figured out the new stick, but I also haven’t had a chance to play with the fin settings. All my measuring and adjusting tools are in a box somewhere and I can’t find them. Deads are coming, and I keep getting good reps even though the weights are moving up, so I’m not that worried about it. I’m more worried about squats, because its getting harder to make the required reps and the weight isn’t that heavy yet.

Greystoke, thanks for stopping in!

Morning BW: 201.2.

3’s day, Bench, TM 245.

Bench: 45 x10, 95 x5, 135 x3, 185 x3, 205 x3, 225 x9.

Krock Rows: 100s x 35.

Incline DB Bench: 50s x3, 60s x3, 70s x3, 90s x3, 100s x7, 70s x12.

Cable Rows: 140 x5, 160 x5, 180 x5, 200 x5, 220 x5, 240 x5, 260 x5.

Flys: 40s x20.

Notes: I felt good today and decided to carb-up after the training session and mowed through a stack of mini cinnamon rolls.

mini cinni now thats backloading carbs way to go.
35 Krocs with 100,s that is awesome. Rest of WO shines too brother.

Thanks Bruce, for stopping in,

Last night’s HIIT: skied to sets and had a great night, got this years PR. Then I walked all over hell with the boy on my shoulders at our local minor league baseball team’s game. The result:

Morning BW: 199.8.

Its been a very long time since I have seen a 1 at the front of my body weight.

that is some decent pressing-
and some great kroc rows.

nice work

Thanks for checking on me, scary puppet.

3’s day, Squats, TM 370.

Squats: 45 x10, 135 x5, 185 x3, 225 x3, 295 x3, 335 x7.

Front Squats: 135 x5, 185 x3, 245 x1, 295 x dump,

Anderson Front Squat (from ass on heels): 245 x1.

Notes: I feel pretty good about the money set, as that is the same number of reps I got last week with 315. On front squats, I didn’t get 295 set quite right on my shoulders and dumped it, it may or may not have gone otherwise, it felt pretty heavy. I pulled 25’s from each side and did an anderson front squat from really low pins to rerack, that was a bitch in itself.
