Raw Female Powerlifter Training Log

Nice workouts, BWG!
Then I decided to see how long it would take me to lunge all the way around the soccer field of out facility and apparently it takes 180 total lunges (90per leg) and probably about 4 1/2-5min. It wasnt that bad tho.
That’s such a weird thing to wonder ;D

Haha teasing, killer workout girl

just found this journal, you are rocking it girl!

Lol I know, it was really random. What was funny is i asked one of the gym owners if he knew and he said that there was a guy that did them last week and it killed him. Pussy.

Well thank you very much Phil!

That last session looks like a KILLER. Great work!

Yesterdays Conditioning Workout:

Sprints: After warmup 12 sprints (4 sets of 3 sprints with a 1min rest between every 3)

Tire Flips: 4 sets of 10ish (It took me about about45sec-1min per set 3min rest between)

Pushups: one set to failure- 34

Kettlebell Swings: 35 5x20 ah yes the glorious ass pump…

Prowler Suicides: 3 sets of 40lbs 3 min rest
(I actually waited an hour and half b/w the swings because my client wanted to do these with me…I will have to video it some time…)

The end…it was a SPECTACULAR workout!!

SQUAT DAY:

squats: 135x10 185x8 225x4 245x4 265x4 (3sets of) 255x4
(then in one of my fits of randomness I wanted to see how many times i could squat my bodyweight:145lb)
145x 43

Sumo Deadlifts: 135x10 5x5 185lbs

Single Leg Stifflegged Deadlift: 4x8 30lbs

Now I know that me doing 43 squats in a row really doesnt do much for me, but I was just curious.

I then spent over 30minutes stretching and foam rolling…i likes to stay flexible

Awesome conditioning day, killer.

145 x 43? I did the same thing, squatting my BW, with 20-rep breather squats (same 145# weight since I’m that weight, although I weigh a tad more) and I almost died! You’re awesome.

Haven’t checked your log for a while and I’m impressed so far. Fucking badass!

You’re doing great, girl!

And you look good too

Keep up the good work.

ps: just waiting on that wide pull- ups record

seems appropriate

^ That’s pretty funny DF. And all too true!

Looking good in here BWG. You are a woman after my own heart. I love walking lunges and CANNOT wait to do them again soon. Next time you lunge around the soccer field take some DBs or wear a weighted vest. That would be awesome.

As for the ass pumps… need some photos! You can PM 'em if you’re not into splashing your fine ass all over the internet.

Prowler suicides? I can’t wait to see those. For the record I am super jealous of your tire flipping. I need to find some place that I can do that. Just sounds fun.

Lol DF, it was very much like that…
And Ms. Veggie…I will be getting pics and video up soon so you all can see what is going on…
(yesterday)
BENCH DAY:

Wide Grip Pullups: 5x2

Pushups: 39 (i have decided to take a full week off from doing pushups to failure.)
(to failure)

So after the pushups I naively planned on doing some bench press but that wasnt gonna happen. So I decided to do standing military press. And then front squat immediately after.

Miltary Press: 45x10 55x8 3sets 65x8 with front squats (same weight)
(this was my random brilliant idea of the workout, my shoulders were numb. This was nothing for a front squat but taking my shoulders to complete exhaustion with the press followed by the isometric hold of the front squat made me want to vom everywhere!)

Bear Crawls: 4 sets 50yards (i was in my gym so who knows.)

Lateral Raises: 10x15 (superset)
90degree Arnold Presses: 8lbx12 (this is how F’d my shoulders were)

I then did 30 min of intervals on the stairclimber.

Whew…typing it again today made me tired all over again!! I am supposed to deadlift today but my upper back has never been this sore…

That’s an awesome squatting session there BWG, and your “brilliant ideas” are freakin insanity!

I want to be a Super Soldier too!!

must look into this book.
I decided on my first strongman comp at the end of the Summer!

I like all your conditioning stuff and your strong!! Strong and fit…thats what I’m going for.

Just wanted to say, too, that if your looking to do a strongman you may not necessarily see a division for women listed…but if you ask the promoter, they may let you find and urge other females to compete!!

OH thats an awesome idea!!! I think there are some in this area over the summer I should look into it! Thank you for the advive ma’am!!

Ok, here was my deadlift workout from TUESDAY. I have been so SOOOOOO exhausted I couldnt even type my workout until right now.

I was still exhausted from my workout monday so I tempered the weight a little and just kept the intensity up. My upper back and shoulder were still fried from monday so I did some eccentric only rows with the prowler&blast straps to warm up&get some blood flow first. It also helps with recovery too… Thank you Christian Thibideau for these…

Prowler Rows: 4 sets of 15 50lbs

DEADLIFT:

135x10 185x10

From a 3inch deficit: 3 sets 185x10

(All three in a row)
Step up 24 inch platform: 2x8 20lb kKB
Fwd Lunges: 30lb barbell 15 each leg
Bkwd Lunges: 30lb barbell 15 each leg

Then I did 2 more sets stepping up to a 36 inch platform and then the lunges.

Then more KB swings…you all know I LOVE the ass pump!!

Um…I think I’m in love with you. Just sayin

Awesome log…you are definitely inspiring and impressive!
