Yeah I agree, and thanks for the encourage.

It is important to note that the top 5 are picked by judges from the 15 but the overall winner is done by public vote.

Also, I would be happy with top 15 as you still get coverage in the magazine.[/quote]

If that’s the case, granted the judges are experienced people in the industry, they’re going to look at overall potential, which is how you would look WHEN given professional grooming and professionally photographed, so I wouldn’t fret too much about it.

Aside from that, in my humble opinion, I think you could benefit by putting on more mass in future as you have a small frame and bone structure.

Oh I know, it’s pretty tough dieting when your pre diet physique was no where near the size you want to be but the prep has served the purpose of cleaning my palette so to speak as well as allow me to start putting on quality weight rather than force feeding for shit mass

Don’t get me wrong, you look good and did the diet very well. Just saying, like myself, you have a narrow frame, so its harder to stand out among guys like the previous winners, who will look broader even with less muscle.

However, I believe you DO have very nice face features and good potential. Good luck with the prep!

Took a couple of snaps upon waking, humbling as fuck using flat on natural lighting

2lbs heavier than yesterday because of my card refeed yesterday afternoon

Thank you for the kindness, it is shit but its the hand you and I have been dealt with!

Also I’m not too gutted about getting in the top 15 and getting beaten, the winners range from late 20’s to mid 30’s so it’s understandable they may have more physque wise than I, plus to the best of my knowledge the youngest top 15 finalists have all been 22 so I would be doing awwwrite by getting in.

Gonna be honest with this prep, yesterday I buckled under the diet and resorted to eating a block of cheese, a chocolate cake and noodles.

Back on the diet today tho, I account cracking to just have been in prep mode since november and taking it extremely slowly.

Got some pics from my girlfriends flat, can see how shit my legs are, even tho they are equally shitty to my upper body so least its in proportion.

Right leg got significantly affected with wastage from a couple of years of nerve damage

Much better facial expression -keep this, they usually want a slight brooding/ blue steel look and/ or an easy going grin.

I’d start directly working your neck a bit and also really hammer your tris and upper chest.

As far as leaness and and overall conditioning you’re well on course.

OP its becoming more evident that your chest is smaller then most of the contestants I would focus it more, hit it 2ice a week. Standard BB day and then a PUMP day, so Monday and Friday IMO.

Here is the previous winner in more of a relaxed state so you can see his pecs unpumped.

WIll start nailing chest twice a week, same with tri’s.

Any good suggestions on neck training?

I agree with RB about the facial expressions, that one in your morning shots is definitely a winner. I disagree about the neck thing though, I don’t think yours lags particularly.

Chest and shoulders are what I would work on if I were you

How would you set up the split then? LIke movements on heavy day and movements on pump day?

Im conscious doing barbell work cause of imbalances and my dumbbells dont go that heavy (25k is the heaviest they can)

Got barbell, swiss bar, rings, bands, chains, kettlebells dumbbells and weights

I would add pump stuff for chest/shoulders on your arm day

I’d start out just using bands, work the neck side to side and a movement moving the head back for 2 sets of 50. Do this at the end of workouts or after deadlifts when very warmed up and afterwards stretch the neck neck a lot(gently)

You might just need 3 or 4 workouts as the neck can grow very fast and you probably don’t want to look like a prop froward!
