Props on eating clean, but maybe eat some carbs too. It can be very psychologically traumatizing to eat something carb/rich like rice, I know, but we have a lot of positive people on this site who can help you overcome your problems.

Its a start, but you have alot of work. You’re way too skinny eat some damn food. Also, you’re not very strong.

It looks more like carbs for breakfast and carbs for workout. Compared to the amount of protein he’s consuming, it’s not a lot. I’m assuming the 100g mixed veg isn’t starchy veg, but I could be wrong.

A crude calculation puts it at:
145g carbs
320g protein
45g fat

18% fat
25% carb
57% protein

Admitedly I don’t keep up with all the newest in bodybuilding nutrition, but aren’t those numbers (if they are correct) a bit odd for a bulking diet?

Not necessarily. Odd in that they seem a bit low overall, but not odd in the macronutrient breakdown per say. I’d personally tone the protein back a bit and up the fats a large amount (in terms of grams).

sorry haven’t been able to post in a while, just finished varsity exams. Bird I’ll post updated pics in a few weeks time, haven’t changed much, actually may have put on a pound or 2 of fat. Exams were a bit stressful, couldn’t stick to a proper diet

Thanks for the input bru, yeah just learned that the amount I thought was my maintanance calorie level was actually starving me. And agreed my strength level is nothing special but its improved exponentially compared to a year ago

I need to get in an extra 1000 calories, how would you suggest I make this up? Do you still suggest I drop the protein?

And bonez, are you joking about OP being born to deadlift? Its proportionate to the rest of his lifts, which aren’t bad. And that comment of ‘stick to either bodybuilding or powerlifting’. Nothing wrong with aiming to be a strong bodybuilder.
Dudes been lifting for a few months. You’ll see which lift progresses the fastest.

What the fuck does being a strong bodybuilder have to do with powerlifting? Powerlifting is becoming good at lifting 1RMs. I dont care how strong a bodybuilder is. He isnt training to lift 1RMs, ever. Go away.

I train to make my muscles bigger. To do that I have to get stronger. What were you saying?

edit

you have a 400lb deadlift. now your ignorant post makes sense.

dont expect a response.

My point is that there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be bigger AND stronger.
He’s not competing in either sport, and even if he WAS, he’s far off the point where he would have to specialise.

I deadlift 440lb - nothing groundbreaking, but you’re right - his progress is faster than most.

Genuine lol at theTweet calling him out.
How would someone get bigger WITHOUT getting stronger?

You people who think that bodybuilders are inherently weak are about as sad as it gets.

Getting bigger =/= being a bodybuilder
Getting stronger =/= being a powerlifter.

I use specific words for a reason. Now stop grabbing nonexistent straws please.

Yusef, bonez is right - I was born to deadlift. Not that I have an impressive deadlift, I just progress on it WAY faster than on any other lifts.
And yeah there’s a huge difference between being a powerlifter with a great physique and being a very strong bodybuilder. But ideally I’d love to be a Johnny Jackson, but I also realise that he’s hit the genetics jackpot

Hi Mr Deadgoat.
Im going to update my pics probally this weekend. You should do the same.
Yusef; you have very similar numbers to me, do you have pics aswell?
