Hunger is starting to dwindle, nights are hard but getting easier.
Down to 184 lbs. Waist still @ 35 in
Reading this thread always tempts me to give it another round to get this last 10 off…Im not eating very far off from what the diet requires…just more fruit/fat. hmmmm…wondering if I could get it done within the month…Dinner is always hard to prepare though, thats the only sucky thing…cause I gotta cook for the family and then not eat it, ![]()

I read someone on here saying they would brew hoodia leaves and leave a pitcher in the fridge, then drink some when they were getting hungry.
I would try this but add in some green tea (like 8-10 bags of it to the entire batch; add fresh lemon juice, maybe 2-3 lemons) but be careful having it close to bed time.
If it’s only meant for staving off hunger earlier in the day, brew it all together. Otherwise, just start with the hoodia tea and make a separate batch with green tea for the earlier part of the day, having only the hoodia tea at night if hunger keeps you awake.
Also, if low carb is bugging you - mental fog - then try to take some L-Tryptophan. I think it was CaliforniaLaw that posted in the T-Cell about taking a high dose of L-Tryptophan to combat low carb mental fog. You’d have to look up his post in TCA.
How many tension and depletion workouts are you guys averaging per week?
Is anyone using any concepts/workouts from the V-Diet?
What’s everyone’s average weight loss per RFL phase/round and how long does it take to get your metabolism back up after you break from RFL?
Brick,
Before you come into the thread and ask, “Why don’t you just buy the book?”
I have it. I’m just curious about everyone else’s experiences.

Ponce,
Thanks for the info, its getting a bit easier but I’ll try the hoodia this week.
Also one HOT-ROX with breakfast and one with lunch has been good for energy levels.

Easy solution to that is grilled lean meats for dinner. Unless of course they want lasagna/pizza every night.

Possible downside is she could reinforce the behavior that it’s okay to be picky about what you eat. Obviously won’t be an issue if the kids are older.

You really need to set your foot down as a matriarch. If they are dependent on YOU for getting fed, that’s really powerful: you can determine the how healthy they eat!
My mom did this when we were growing up. She would let us have a say on the weekly menu items, e.g. “Monday is beef or fish night” (then we’d think of several dishes based on the “theme” ingredient)
Day 8 / Round 1
Hunger not really noticable anymore. Feeling rundown.
Weight - 182.2
Waist - 34 in
Happy with results, cant wait til Friday.
we do eat clean as a family…have spent a couple years changin things around here…Im just talking about the occasion that I actually COOK something, like a stew or casserole etc…oh ya, meal planning is my best friend! And, my kids are already picky…but they know if they get hungry later, dinner will be waiting for them(again) no snacks!!
I’ve done 2 rounds
1st- 7 wks(25 lbs)
2nd- 4 wks (10 lbs)
went for a third round, but only lasted 2 weeks, haha…sometimes you know when enough is enough…but I’ve lost an additional 15 lbs on my own…no probs with metabolism.
Day 10 / Round 1
2 more days to go.
Weight - 180.1 lbs
Waist - 33.5 in
Already happy with the results, wouldn’t mind another half inch off the waist though.
I’m gonna update this a little.
I’m now … 10 days in. I’m down from 102.5kg to 97.2kg. I was at 95.3kg 4 days ago, but that was before my 5 hour refeed. I had a cheat meal yesterday (a little too much “cheat” in there, but I don’t think it’ll cripple my diet) so I’m hoping to be at ± 96kg tomorrow or the day after.
One thing though, when I was at 95.3kg, I didn’t see one single difference in my physique. You’d think 7kg will make a pretty visible change, even if alot of it was water…
Doesn’t really matter I guess. I think I’ll pull this diet through at least another week, probably two, to see what happens. I have yet to receive my fat burner in the mail, so that’s another reason to take a bit more time at this.
Judged prematurely. So far I lost about 2.5 inches from the waist, so maybe I carry more fat than I thought I did.
Also, why doesn’t this thread get bumped to the first page? There are threads with older responses than this one on the first page…
Day 12 / Round 1
Finally done. It sucked, now way around that.
Final stats
Weight - 178.0 lbs (-12.6)
Waist - 33 in (-2.5)
BF - 11% (-4%)
Gonna have some carbs today and tomorrow while keeping the cals in check.

V-Diet.
While they’re both PSMFs they are completely different. I see no direct competition.
ATS, did you do your RFL at Cat 1 or 2 (seem to be right in the middle). You seem to be ending with a half-refeed (since you’re going to keep cals in check).

I did it cat 1 cause I usually hover a little lower than 15% so I figured thats where my natural set-point would be.
My re-feed wasn’t that interesting. I wanted to limit my cals cause that helps me limit the junk I take in. I didn’t rebound hard at all though.
Its been 5 days since I ended the diet, while I did put 4 lbs back on, my waist measurement remained the same as when I ended the diet. So that tells me its mostly water and glycogen. I’m very happy with the results.
Just finished up yesterday, but I’m not satisfied.
Even though I’ve lost close to 20 pounds, I look pretty much the same. My measurements vary like hell, one day my waist is a staggering 97 cm, the next day it’s down to 92 and the day after that back to 95, even though I made no change in the diet.
I’m thinking of upping the fat just a little, maybe bump it to 30 grams. Keep the protein at 200-220 grams and start another round. Got exactly two weeks of fatburner left, so I’ll probably go again.
What about HIIT on this diet? I do 2 workouts a week, upper/lower split. I was thinking of adding 2 HIIT days just for the sake of losing more fat. I’m not really worried about muscle loss.

No HIIT. You are probably over doing exercise already.
