This is intellectually disingenuous. First, the average male is in a better position to fight off an attacker without simply being being beaten to death. As for your parting shot, believe it or not, many men in prison do not fight back, b/c they would be killed. Women are relatively the weaker sex, and face this terrible “algebra” as C-Bear put it, but in prison, weaker men face the same algebra.

No one is arguing that at all. We are arguing it’s effectiveness. Frankly, if I were in the position of advising a loved one, now that I’ve thought about this…I’d want her to be armed in some fashion with a weapon THAT SHE CAN READILY USE IN EVERY SCENARIO (this would probably rule out gun, but rule in knives, stun gun, sharp objects, pepper spray). I’d also probably advocate using this device if she wanted, with the idea it could give her time to use a weapon to INCAPACITATE her attacker. If she could not INCAPACITATE her attacker, I would not recommend using this device, unless of course this device in and of itself INCAPACITATES an attacker which, frankly, I do not believe.

The frightening reality here is that women are often the weaker sex and a weapon wielded by a weaker person is a less effective weapon. Women are in a tough spot…and they deserve special treatment in our society…and world wide. That is why I advocate education and ENFORCEMENT of their rights. For it to be so pervasive there, enforcement must be terrible. And punishment when caught must be lacking too.

I believe it is the womans choice to use this or not. I don’t see how law enforcement or government could stop women from using this device here in america. The day the gov. can dictate what a woman puts in her own vagina is the day we all need to die for being sheep. In my previous post i was not saying they shouldn’t use it I thought there was major confusion about what the guys meant when they said using it may cause more harm to come to the woman. I agree with the thought that it would cause more violence to be used on the woman but still it should be her choice. I would just hope any woman choosing to use this would think about all the possible out comes of using thie device.
