Rape-aXe: Anti-rape Condom

Physician Invents Anti-Rape Condom

Hansen Sinclair - AHN News Reporter

South Africa (AHN) - A new female condom developed by a South African physician is designed to not only help prevent rape, but inflict pain on the attacker, according to reports.

The device, known as the Rape-aXe and invented by Dr. Sonnet Ehlers, is a female condom with hooks or â??teethâ?? inside. Ehlers sold her house and car in 2005 to launch the project, and plans to distribute 30,000 units of the condom at FIFA World Cup venues. After the trial period, she intends to sell the preventative device for $2.

The condom is inserted inside the woman, much like a tampon. Once an attacker penetrates the woman, the hooks dig into the penis, clasping on. The device can only be removed by a doctor.

The pain is excruciating, leaving the attacker unable to walk, pee or remove the condom himself. If he tries to remove it, the device digs deeper. However, there is no risk of fluid exposure, reports stated.

Ehlers interviewed convicted rapists, gynecologists and psychologists while developing the Rape-aXe to make sure the device wasâ??for all intents and purposesâ??safe.

However, the device has been criticized by people who feel the device is too medieval and archaic. Ehlers agrees, saying the device fits the crime.

Rape-axe = Vagina dentata:

I can imagine that the drive to the doctors to get that thing removed would be extremely akward.

Of course I can’t speak for women, but I imagine that if a woman is being raped, the idea that a contraption that would hold the fucker in place inside her for the length of time it takes for police to arrive and get a doctor to remove him may be too harrowing.
I imagine getting raped is bad enough, but to have the experience greatly prolonged due to the technical attributes of the “preventative” just seems like further torture.

I’d like to know what the stats are on rape. What are a woman’s chances of getting raped? Can the wearing of said device be weighed against those stats?

On the other hand, any woman who happens to be wearing that device and does get raped will probably be glad she had one, and that the fucker got caught.

Need to make another version for the butt and mouth

ID, I am pretty sure the condom is able to slide out of the woman while it is encasing the raping dick. It locks on the penis, not in the vagina.

South Africa: Rape capital of the world

(first paragraph)
One in four South African men questioned in a survey said they had raped someone, and nearly half admitted having attacked more than one victim. The BBC reports that South Africa’s government has been urged to solve the rape epidemic. The study, by the country’s Medical Research Council, also found three out of four who admitted rape had attacked for the first time during their teens. It said practices such as gang rape were common because they were considered a form of male bonding.

Anyone want to wager on how many women forget they have one inside and legitimate guys have to go to the doctor?

??? oh come on

maybe you just date sheep, but no woman is going to forget unless you typically are dating chicks that are too drunk to be awake.

I’m just saying it’s going to happen. Still think it’s a good idea though.

She put a pretty hefty investment into this and it seems like a good idea. Well intentioned, affordable for the masses. I hope it works out for her.

Any ladies want to chime in on how comfortable they think this thing would be in their vajajay? Google Rape-axe and you’ll see some pictures (I’m at work and I’d rather not post them).

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

boo

This is why you use a foreign object first and your penis second. Or have your buddy go first…just another joy of the MMF.

Duh. I feel like an idiot! Of course that’s how it works.

Horrible stats! Yeah, in that light, the device is a great idea.

Thanks OG!

The possible uses of this device to prank people are immense and frightening.

Fellas… Africa ain’t the US. There ain’t no doctors readily available, nor police, etc. S.Africa is the most stable Sub-Saharan African state. So if the stats are that bad there, just imagened what it is like elsewhere. To put it in prespective, a woman is in constant danger of being raped while a man is in constant danger of being killed.

That being said I am not in favor of this device. Simply because any woman who hurts her rapist this way is sure to be tortured and killed as revenge by the attacker and/or his buddies. And made an example for all the women in the village and nearby areas.

This thing is simply too short sighted… now in a country like the US, Canada, England, yeah sure that thing can work here.

The sad truth is that something like this is needed in SA, as OG noted. Crime there is absolutely horrific, and in particular, AIDS is at 18%. Rape is by no means confined to women either. You read about guys who get a bit too wild on a night out, get tossed in the slammer for a few hours and come out HIV positive. I’ve met a lot of people who’ve emigrated from SA, and they have stories that’d make your hair stand on end.

You aren’t suggesting a Bobby Knight attitude towards rape are you? “I think that if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it.”

I get what you are saying, and it is terrible that women are weaker than men, but that doesn’t mean they can’t fight back or that they shouldn’t.

In South Africa there is the myth that if you rape a virgin you can cure AIDS. Children are being raped there.

i[/i]
Some surveys suggest that up to a third of South Africans believe in an ancient and bizarre “cure” for AIDS.

This “cure” involves having sex with a virgin in the belief that it will cleanse the body of venereal diseases like AIDS.

It was this belief which led to the rape of an eight-month-old baby called Tshepang in Louisvale, South Africa.
