Crazy, what material is the suit and how did you get into making it?

It’s a singer heavy duty (model 441 maybe?). I got it from my mother in-law for Christmas I think she got it on sale for about $200. There was quite a learning curve to sew multiple layers of heavy fabric though I must say.

It’s denim and I got bored and was kind of amazed at how much some of the gear out there cost. Plus looking at some of it I thought that I could do it. Next one will be canvas, but I am trying to find some heavy enough poly too.

I’ll get in on this one, both squat and dead at 500. Squat will probably take a couple months dead should be there sooner just put 45 lbs on my deadlift pr today.

I have not. Might be worth a try as accessory work on squat day. My back needs some strength, hopefully conv deads will build that. Might try sumo for reps on squat days as well, just to keep the feel for it… but nothing heavy.

Got 525x1 on my deadlift today

If you are strong as hell off the floor but have problems come the lockout, should you prioritize rows even if you consider your upper back to be a strong body part? Or is the problem more in the lower body and core. If anyone needs a video for reference, they can check the two deadlift vids in my hub (please don’t flame for the choice of dress). My deadlift has gone up but my weakness hasn’t changed regardless of my upper back.

Best squat right now is 500 x 5 or 515 x 4 at around 220-225
Deadlift is 640 at 215

I probably won’t be going for higher PRs in either for a while, but this certainly is motivation to do so.

Too late to hop on this race? 600 raw squat (no knee wraps) has been a major goal of mine for some time. Just did my first PL meet this past Saturday and I am coming close. 575 squat (20lb. PR), 335 paused bench (shit I know), 575 DL (tied my PR, missed 600 on 3rd attempt). 1485 total. Hoping to knock out 600 on squat before the year is out. Trying to get videos of all lifts up, will post soon.
