585 rev band squat for 1, failed on 605 though feel as though I could of had it, my setup was a bit off.
Rev band squats tonight for over 500 just to get used to some heavier weight being on my back. Next cycle lifts will be back to straight weight and we’ll see where I’m at. Decided to sign up for my first meet (April 9th) and am hoping to be 500/300/600 for it. Keep up all the good work guys.

I’m in the 495lb deadlift thread too (I made it actually), but sure I’ll hop in here too.
5’10" 190-195lbs
345lb 1-2in below parallel box squat in October
455lb deadlift Monday
Here’s my ME lifts for the next 8 weeks or so:
SSB box squat
Suspended chain GM 3-5 RM
Free power squat + 50lb chain
4in deficit dead + 50lb chain
GM’s always used for supplementary work.
I’ll rotate my Squat for a week or two, then my DL. All ME lifts are done for 2 sessions before moving on to the next one. What I found from focusing on my DL exclusively is that I don’t progress on my DL any faster when I try to train specifically for it.

Did it. The made up magic routine is still working (bench failed this week, various excuses…)
but +10kg to dead (wednesday)
and +10kg to squat (today)
puts me at 240kg dead and 190kg squat (ass to grass, even had a little 2 sec rest at the bottom… lol was hard as fuck coming up tho on the back).
gg keep lifting
H
P.S just for the record i’m 189cm, all lifts raw (by IPF standards, i use a belt for the PRs) and unequipped, i dont use any “supplements” either. Unless you count McDonalds… alot of hormones in that shit
i am sitting at a 475 dl and starting the coan/philipi-routine on wednesday.
Forgive my ignorance but what is the coan/philipi-routine?
I am in down for this. I want to hit 500lbs. for each by January 1, 2012.
On January 1, 2011 I got 435lbs. Squat and 450lbs. Deadlift.
As soon as I can get on a non-MRE based diet, I think the gains will start again. I have lost some strength and conditioning. This will help motivate me though.
My wide stance low bar squat is/was over 5 but I am doing a cycle of high bar oly because it’s easier on my slightly torn adductor, i’ll race with that to 5 if that’s still kosher, sleeves and belt.
Other than racing to 500, I just generally want to get my total to 1000(lb), and compete at that, then shoot for 1300 (something like 455/315/525) by feb 2012. I’m new to powerlifting but after high school football it just seems right. 300 In a year seems big no doubt, but I don’t think it unreasonable given my “lifting age”
