I think it was the squat that caused the problem actually, just waiting for the knee pain to not be there when I dl, I will be trying next week. Things are way better since dropping the lowerbody lifts and doing buildup sprints and then running.
There is NO pain during the running or sprinting(build up sprinting not from a dead stop).
When I stopped the lowerbody lifting sitting down on the toilet, getting off the toilet, pushing my foot in my boot. Hurt my knee. I just needed to stop for a while. Bent knee + pressure = pain.
So that’s squat and dl and dead stop sprinting, hills, stairs(up and down). Front of the knee pain right knee only(the good knee).
Will give the dropping the weight thing a try when I add dls in again.
I was rdling the weight down on my dls not sure if that makes a difference or not, I can’t remember where I read that as a recommendation when dling.

Squats can hurt the knees… it took me a long ass time to find a way to do them that didn’t hurt my knees.
When DLing, guide the weight slowly as far as your knee, then let it free fall from there (keeping your hands around it). Should be fine.

Yesterday I would’ve told you I expect you to lap me. My bench hasn’t BUDGED in um, the last three entire cycles of 5 3 1. HOWEVER today I found out I have no fucking clue how to bench and have probably been doing it heinously wrong. So, I’m gonna work on that… and do my best to at least keep you and Charlotte motivated.
Should we bet something? Like, the two not winners have to add I <3 Hallowed to their Avitars for a week? Oh um, I mean I <3 ______ (whoever the winner is)?

I’m a long way off 100lbs overhead - my 1 rep max (which won’t fucking move) is 88lbs. The next weight up (using the plates at the gym) is 42.5 which would be 93.5lbs. I will be a happy camper when I finally get this.
Bench: want to get back to 70kg (154lbs).
Deadlift: Aiming for two and a half plates (120kg/264lbs)
Squat has been weird for me lately but a bodyweight squat would be good. Which currently makes my squat goal the same as my bench. Hrmm.

I just pressed 11@70 last night. The 1RM projection for that says I should be close to 100, but I don’t really trust that. I’m playing it a little cautious because I’m coming off of a mild shoulder sprain, so if I keep following my 5/3/1 progression, it will be a few months before I’m attempting 100.
Well, let’s see, I got 10 reps at 30kg (66lbs) and my 1RM is 40kg (88lbs). I found a calculator online and closest I could get to 66 was 65lbs - 10 at that weight would yield a 1RM of 86lbs so it seems pretty accurate.
For 11 at 70, it reckons your max would be 95lbs.

Hmmm, I’ll have to try it out. I found that projection to be quite inaccurate when it came to my bench press. I could rep a lot at say 100lbs then totally crap out at 130 even though my projected 1RM was around 145. For what its worth I found it swung the other way when it came to DLs because I sucked at repping DLs.
