Christian, how would you recommend to approach PARA-Workout Nutrition when training twice daily?
Thank you!

Somewhat of a complex issue, it would help me to know how both sessions are divided (what type of sessions are your doing).

Great, So BCAA during the workout are no good anymore?
Itās not that they are no good, just that there are other more effective ways to get the same benefits

Christian,
Thank you for your response. Makes sense.
Since the two āactiveā ingredients in FINibar that weāve been discussing (palatinose and rice oligodextrin) are also in Workout Fuel, wouldnāt using the two together be a bit redundant? What is the value added from the Finibar not to be found in the Workout Fuel?
Just trying to make the protocol a bit more user friendly before I place my order.
Thank you,
Doug

Fast absorbed protein!
But really, the FINiBARS are only used to increase the amount of rice oligodextrin and palatinose ingested. To get the same effect from Workout Fuel alone you would have to use an additional 3 sccops (up to 5-6 scoops) which would probably be even more expensive.

Itās your mechanicaldrop-program, phase 1. AM: main exercise + drop 1 and PM: main exercises + drop 2.
AA Pulse
Breakfast
Workout #1
Meal
Meal
Workout #2
Meal
P.S Iāve access to all the needed ingridients (no anaconda, but good quality CH) to make it work according to your current recommendations. by the way, would I need second pulse if Iām training 2 x ? If so, when would be approporiate time?
Thanks

Thanks a lot Christian!
Very helpful!!!
Hi CT
I have some questions concerning para-wo nutrition protocols for my weight lifting sessions as well as for ESW.
I am 189cm (6ā2) and 96kg (211 pounds) at 10% BF (will get down to 8%).
I am currently using the following protocol:
WO -60min = Alpha GPC (2 caps), Spike (1 tab, occasional and āif neededā)
WO -45min = BCAA (40g)
WO -30min = Surge Workout Fuel (2 scoops), Creatine 5g
WO -10min = Surge Recovery (1 scoop)
30 min into WO = Surge Recovery (1 scoop), Leucine (5g)
WO +15min = Grow! Whey Protein (1 scoop), Leucine (5g), Creatine (5g)
WO +90min = Grow! Whey Protein (1 scoop) immediately followed by a solid meal (lunch)
I do some Energy System Work twice a week. 3 out of 4 times it is HIIT. If I do not feel energetic I do some fast paced cardio for 45min.
I feel a little helpless when it comes to para-WO nutrition protocols for ESW-session.
Currently, I follow this one:
ESW -30min = 20g BCAA, 5g Leucine, Spike (1tab, occasional)
If and only if I do the ESW first thing in the morning I add 1/2 scoop of Grow! Whey Protein.
Thank you so much and my apologies for the bad English. I think it wouldnāt be appropriate to write in French or German in this forumā¦

I have order everything I need to give your para-workout protocol a try for a month (I have access to a high quality CH). I am trying to put on some lean mass especially in my upper body. I am thinking about doing the workout from phase II (weeks 5-8) of Get Jacked Fast since your new program is not out yet. Is that good or is there something else that youād recommend for my training?
Thanks again for all your help!

Coach, how would this set-up be for now?
15min Pre-Workout 1-Serving Surge Workout Fuel+Creatine
During Workout 1-Serving Surge Recovery
15-20min Post-Workout 1-Serving Surge Recovery+Creatine
Iām really interested in the full protocol when i have everything available. I would imagine there would be virtually no cravings for sweets while on this type of plan either which would be a nice side effect
This is close to what I have been doing. The only time I have to workout is early morning. I have been doing:
WO - 30min 1 Spike
WO - 15min 1 scoop Surge Workout + 2 scoops MD
During WO Nothing
Post WO 2 scoops Surge Recovery + creatine
I probably have this all wrong. Would be interested in knowing how to improve it. Iām time crunched in the am when I workout so there is only so much I can do. The above usually also serves as my breakfast.
Coach
Since I train in the morning ( 4:30 a.m. ) I find that some morning are much more tougher to wake up then others. I use to have a single cup of coffee on my way to the gym but have stopped. The only thing I know take are some BCAAās about 20-25 minutes before I get to the gym.
Budget is tight so what less expensive options would you recommend taking that would help wake me up? Is the coffee okay and if so, will it mess with the BCAAās somehow? Thanks again.

Since you already have a lot of them, keep them in. They will not interfere with the protocol and might make it slightly more effective. I do not include them in my recommendation because they are not worth the extra investment, BUT since you already have them and paid for them, might as well use them.
For what itās worth, my training partner still take his BCAAs 45 min. pre-workout for the same reason.
ParagonA wrote:
3. Does it make sense to take 5g Creatine each pre- and post-WO? I do currently not take creatine on any other day than WO-days. Would you rather recommend to drop it entirely or to use it every single day?
Use it pre and post. On non-workout day keep a 5g dose in the evening.
ParagonA wrote:
4. Does the addition of Leucine to the protocol make sense or is it a rather a waste?
Itās not a waste, but you might be taking it a bit too far especially considering that WORKOUT FUEL already has leucine in it. Adding it post-workout would be sufficient.

Drop the leucine, 15g of whey and 15g of BCAAs would be enough.
Finally⦠my first direct Biotest order⦠and I had to return it yesterday because it was stopped by customs. 2x Leucine and 2x Alpha-GPC, goneā¦
Coach,
For now, while I manage to get the leucine, I still have BCAA. How should I integrate them to the protocol (dosage, timming) so I can get results as close as those from the leucine?
Thanks!
Hey Coach,
I have two questions (which you probably have answered before) that I can not find the specific answer to:
CT,
If you are making your own pre-post workout drinks due to budget restrictions, what carbohydrate source would you use? Typcially Iāve been using 8oz of 100% cranberry juice and then the rest coming from a blend of dextrose and maltodetrin.
Thanks,
What does PPS stand for?
LilDaDDyDreW wrote:
What does PPS stand for?
Pulses per second? A measurement in the rate of gulps of anaconda that are taken per second.
Typically itās used to mean post post script, like if someone says PS XXX, then if they have a new idea below the script of a letter, they would write PPS XXX. They Pās just keep accumulating ad infinitum.
phosphatidylserine maybe?
Christian,
What exactly is Anaconda? What makes this particular casein hydrolysate blend so special?
Assuming one had access to Anaconda (which I donāt), how would you change the protocol?
Why doesnāt Tim just release it at a high price like Workout Fuel?
Random Question: What do you eat for breakfast on your new, insulin-resistance, low carb diet? I read in one of Poliquinās Q&A columns that eggs every day results in an allergy to them. What do you think?
Thank you,
Doug
When it comes to beta alanine supplementation, should one use it right before/during a workout, in addition to throughout the day? Or does para-workout timing not matter with beta alanine? Thanks!
