ok, I hvae a bit of an issue, or it is to me. I work out alot, have a nice physique going but for some reason my nipples are literally pointing down and it’s not fat, my max on the smith machine is 290.
I’m only 16, 5’7 and weigh 147. Anybody know a remedy or have anything useful to help me pull them back up into place so to speak? I find it a bit humorous myself but it’s slightly disturbing at the same time. I’d appreciate help with this.

what does your max on a smith machine have to do with your fat levels?
It’s probably your physiology. Many guys nipples start to point down as they build their pecs. Look at many bodybulders, some of theirs are nearly under the muscle fold. It’s not a big deal really, especially since you said it isn’t fat,(and judging by your pics in your profile I’m sure it isn’t fat either).

given your age and the fact that you are probably lean everywhere else I would say that it is most likely gynecomastia

Um, no. Dumb answer.

Best Response. For the most well known example, look at Rich Gaspari.
Some of the newbies on this board seem to think that everyone looks exactly the same. I guess this is what happens when your exposure to the human body is based on what you see on MTV. Some people have nipples placed high or low on the chest. Rich Gaspari’s were underneath his pectorals. Having a gap between your chest or having abs that don’t equal exactly six cross sections does not mean you are abnormal. There are variations in all humans.

lol maybe he works out at home and that’s all he’s got? I used a smith before I went to a gym and my max was 235lb.

Because I’ve just really gotten into lifting this year and want to get some strength going so I know I won’t fuck up with a light weight before I try lifting without the smith machine. Or give me something that will hit the stabilizers first so I don’t have any issues with them when I drop the smith.

If you want to get some strength going use the barbell and a weight you can handle. I can’t imagine you can’t handle at least 225 pounds safely with a bar if you are maxing 290 on the smith. It will get you stronger quicker then the smith.

Bah. Use dumb bells. This will hit those stabilizers like nothing else. And, you can’t drop them on your throat. That’s a good thing.
