The total amount of fat has nothing to do with it if you are usng fish oil for the reasons most people do. As an athlete you need to look at the amount of EPA/DHA you are taking, the rest is just junk.
So for you you are taking about 3000 mg of epa/dha which is ok. They are doing research right now on EPA/DHA in athletes at around 20,000 mg of EPA/DHA so I would suggest increasing your dose.
I also would be worried about mercury and PCB’s in your fish oil so go online and buy some quality liquid fish oil where you can get 9,000 mg in a tablespoon.
