I’ve cut back on the amount of flaxseed to once a day, with my morning shakes. I’ve had just one solid healthy meal a day. Day 5 was a workout day and I actually enjoyed it.
Workout# 3
Db romanian deadlift: 4x40#x10…45 secs rest
Neutral grip Db shoulder press: 3x35#x10…45 secs rest
Wide-grip pull-up: 4xBWx8…60 secs rest
Push-up: 4xBWx12…45 secs rest
Back squats: 3x155#x10…60 secs rest…hadn’t done regular squats in a long time. Took a bit out of me.
Reverse crunch: 2xBWx12
This workout was good and I felt strongerthan usual.
Day 6
More of the same nutrition wise. Cooked a tasty dish from the Gourmet Nutrition book. Also had to go to Manhattan to move some support beams from a boxing gym…NEPA was fully taken care of. Those girders were real haevy an required a lot of effort to go down eight flights of stairs…tired, going to pass out now…
I’m up a pound and a half but still lost a half inch from my obliques(love handle area) which is what I care about most. I’m also still loosing fat from the chest area as well and I’m pleased about that. The one meal a day was a great change of pace. It was getting harder to get in all my shakes as I just wasn’t hungry by the fourth shake and would come close to skipping shake five. I’ve dropped the peanut butter in the evenings and kept the flaxseed with just the morning shake. Today is cooking day, I already had one meal from the Gourmet Nutrition book and will be preparing several more for the next few days to take to work with me.
I know, I skipped two days, no worries, still on my game. I did my workout Monday and still eating clean. Had a moment of crisis yesterday though. All though I had only one solid meal, I saw my mid section expand and started to feel fat…freaked me out so bad I had to reach out to Chris. Actually, that was a bit embarrassing, I really didn’t expect that from myself. Anyway, he talked me through it.
Tonights weight session was good. I followed it with 30 minutes on the treadmill 6 degree incline at 3.2 mph. Prior to cardio, I popped 3 BCAAs and had the Surge Recovery after the cardio.
I’m happy with myself…I stepped up, put myself out there and finished something I started for myself with out compromising. 9.5 lbs, 3.5" off my obliques, 2.5" off the moobs and a half inch all around everything else. Unfortunately no side by sides as the camera decided to act stupid and not work today. With the food taste changes and portion control I’ve developed, my goal of Level Three leanness is very attainable. I may continue my progress here but it wont be much of a nutritional info based thread or I’ll start a thread in the bodybuilding forum since I’ll be following Chad Waterbury’s various programs beginning with the Waterbury Method.
I want to say thanks to all who checked in on me and offered encouragement on my journey. Especially Chris Shugart who never failed to answer a question and even provided a quick mental evaluation when I was starting to be afraid of food. Thank you.
So, I’m still loosing inches in spite of the fact that my weight is going back up and I’m fine with that as long as the inches keep coming off. I’m not counting calories like with the V-Diet just making sure I always have veggies with my meals and keep taking my supplements. Also, as far as starchy carbs, I’ll have a serving or two during the day before 5 pm and only until I eat all the protein on my plate. Once the protein is gone I stop eating carbs. I’m mixing my proteins during the day, meats, fish and poultry as well as a Metabolic Drive shake.
I’m in the process of finishing my last bottle of Hot-Rox and will be switching to Carbolin 19 from then on. I’m still taking six Flameout caps a day and will be upping my BCAA’s to 16 a day as opposed to the 12 I was taking. I’m adding Rez-V and will do two months of TRIBEX during my ABBH program. I also managed to get myself a two month supply of Superfood and will make that a staple of my supplement program from now on.
As mentioned before, I’ll be following Chad Waterbury’s training programs for the next few months begining with the Waterbury Method, followed by ABBH, ABBH 2 and the Art of Waterbury. So far I’ve been impressed with his methods and since it’s still new to my body I can still benefit from this style of training. Afterwards I’ll reevaluate and see if I want to go back to a split program.
