Qaash's V-Diet

Nice job Qaash, now keep on keepin on through that transition period. Very easy to lose a few more inches while you treat yourself with solid foods haha
Thanks Higgins…keep it strong on your second go around.

Way to make it Qaash!

Time flies doesn’t it?

It eventually did, but we all made it and that’s something to be proud about.

you’re looking outrageous, Qaash!

good job by you!

love the pics!

keep us updated through your transition…you got your plan n place yet?
i bet you do.
But of course DD,

I’m keeping this transition as strict as the diet, only one meal a day, following the same workout Gus did for the next two weeks. Afterwards, I’ll be doing Waterbury’s ABBH program for the next six weeks.
Nick21 wrote:
Excellent progress.

What are your plans for transitioning?
I’ll be following Gus’s transition example and workout, then moving on to putting some size and shape to my muscles to burn more fat.

Fantastic progress Qaash! Your back/shoulder width is really noticable now! Your waist looks so much better and the moobs are disappearing. You might have to go shopping for smaller waist pants now.

Now that the fun part is over now is the gut check time to see just how good those taste changes are. Some people go too wild after the strict phase of the V-Diet and I think it is better to keep it tight for the two weeks after to make sure your body know you mean business and that this fat-loss will be on-going!

I’m still going to keep watching your progress to razor sharp abs and single digit bodyfat. Keep it going Qaash, you are making the most of your moment. Great job again!
The taste change is permanent…I’ve even figured out how to make some of my favorite foods healthier and still keep the taste plus I have the Gourmet Nutrition book, so I’m solid. Single digit all the way.

Nice work Qaash. Your back looks good, and you are definitely leaner. Nice work, good luck with the transition.
Hey, TMoney1, thanks for dropping by…transition will be a breeze cause I’ve already made up my mind that it will, mind over diet, SPARTAN style!!!

Qaash:
Absolutely Fantastic Progress. No more INS jokes…for awhile.

Well done Qaash, improvement shown on all fronts (pictures), but particularly the back one.

Good on you, and here’s to the transition!

Transition Day 1

New Day

I woke up excited and ready to take on the next phase.

930am HOT-ROX & BCAA’s
10am Metabolic Drive with flaxseed
1230pm Metabolic Drive with 3 caps Flameout
3pm Solid healthy meal…8.9 oz turkey chili, half a whole wheat pita, and two cups sauteed broccoli, baby carrots and walnuts…tasty

My workout will be at 530.

Workout #1…straight sets non circuit with 30 seconds rest between sets

Chin-ups: 8xBW+25#x3…I added a 25 pound plate to my waist and kept a good tempo until set six. I then dropped the weight for the last two sets

Power cleans: 8x105#x3…I grossly underestimated myself of these and will increase the weights next session…it still takes me a couple sets to get into a groove with these.

Push press: 8x105#x3…same as the power cleans, I underestimated myself and was able to complete all sets without struggle.

Planks still suck…supporting myself on the sides is tough

Immediately had Surge Recovery with 10g creatine & glutamine respectively…I feel good…one more shake tonight with flaxseed and half serving of peanut butter, plus the Flameout.

Great results, Qaash! The waist-belly-love handle losses are very noticeable/

And with the taste changes, you’re going to progress much further. I’d expect a couple more pounds of fat loss during the Transition.

Awsome… keep going. dont stop till you get where you want to go.

That’s the plan, coach

Thanks, funny thing is I may not be able to stop…I’m ridding out the momentum I’ve built up

I just read Coach Thib’s and Chris’s article on leaning out…but what really interested me was level three leanness…That is what I’m shooting for.

Transition Day 2

Still taking my supplements at the usual intervals. Had a shake for breakfast with flaxseed at 830. A second one at 11, then had my solid meal at 2…I’m being social again so I met a friend for lunch at a local diner. I had a grilled chicken wrap with cucumber, romaine lettuce and pepper, no honey mustard. I was just fine without the sauce. I took 3 Flameout with water and I was good. I had half a shake at about 5 before kickboxing and finished it immediately afterwards.

On a side note, the benefits of being lighter really presented themselves tonight. As part of our warm-ups we would jump rope for rounds…mind you I hadn’t been consistent because of my civic duties, so I thought I’d be really rusty but to my surprise I was able to maintain a consistent cadence the whole warm-up without feeling tired.

Next example was a conditioning drill called the leg crank…24 BW squats, 24 lunges, 24 reverse lunges, 12 jump squats…the killer for me was always the jump squats, by my fourth or fifth one my legs were shot and I didn’t jump that high but tonight I was catching some serious air and completed the whole thing…personal best for me.

Transition Day 3

Transition going fine, had a solid lunch…mesculan salad with grilled chicken and dressing on the side…I ate the whole damn thing…my shakes are getting harder to drink…having a smaller stomach is not helping. My supplements are still being taken as scheduled. Dropped the peanut butter from the last shake.

Today was workout day 2 on the transition…straight sets with 45 seconds rest in between…actually felt long, lol

Forward lunge hammer curls: 4x25#x7(each leg)…started with 30 pound dumbbells but by second set I couldn’t lift my arms properly once I started on the second leg

Bb bent-over row: 4x115#x7…I went with a wide grip and brought the weight up to below my chest to hit the middle portion of my back a bit more

Dips: 4xBWx7…I used the hand rails on my treadmill for these…I can go just low enough to get a good stretch at the bottom

Bb front squats: 3x135#x6…I warmed up with 115 the first set but was too easy, so I upped the weight.

Good mornings: 3x115#x6…a little challenging, hadn’t done these in a while.

It was a good workout…the more intense it is the more I enjoy Surge afterwards…added 10g glutamine and creatine to recovery drink and felt good for it.

Transition Day 4

Day four was uneventful…The more people I run into the more comments I get about the weight loss. I’ve referred a few to T-Nation and a couple of ladies to MWA. I’m hoping each one will find something as I did. Tomorrows a workout day and I’m looking forward to it.
