Today was my last V-Diet workout…I got in four shakes plus Surge Recovery with an extra scoop of Vanilla Metabolic Drive for good measure. These last couple days have actual been bothersome in that I’ve been to full to try to get in all the shakes. My only saving grace is the workouts that leave my body starving for fuel and nutrients I can have a Surge with no problem.
My zero calorie syrups from Davinci Gourmet arrived. I got three different flavors to play with during the transition phase and all future shakes.
My work out…rest period was down five seconds…for a 25 second rest period between sets…so not enough.
Circuit #1
Power cleans: 4x80#x6
Db bench press: 4x50#x6…started with 60 pounds but couldn’t move the weight fast enough, so I dropped it down to 50.
Chin-ups: 4xBWx6
Circuit #2
Db side laterals: 4x30#x6
Bb bent-over rows: 4x130#x6…felt very strong on these tonight.
Reverse crunches: 4xBWx12
Reverse lunge hammer curls: 4x30#x6(each leg)
All in all I’m satisfied with my ability to do these workouts. I had a few growing pains with the Olympic lifts…wrist is still sore, but I think I did my best. I’ll be incorporating these lifts in my future workouts to learn them better.
I am looking forward to eating again, albeit very clean and healthy but with serious flavor. Gourmet Nutrition and Biotest supplements will be a great help to me on my quest.
Moment of truth in about 10 hours…measurements pictures and thoughts…like I said before I’ve been on cruise control this last week and pretty happy with myself for sticking to the program the way I did…the fact I didn’t cheat is a milestone in dietary self control.
My day was the same as yesterday but I managed to get all my shakes in.
Total body weight of 9.5 pounds, 3 inches of the obliques(love handle), 1.5 inches of the waist, an inch of the chest and 2 inches in shoulder width. My legs also about an inch respectively. Calves lost a half inch and my right ankle lost a quarter inch?..weird.
I have not been under 200 pounds in years. I think I was in college when I last weighed 190 anything. Visually, I honestly don’t see a difference but I think it’s because the loss was uniform throughout my body, even down to the ankles, it wasn’t too rapid, no loose skin to worry about. I still want to drop more inches off the obliques. I used to want to be a 32 but now I’m toying with the idea of going smaller to really get the X frame going with my lats and shoulders. My legs need shaping so I’ll be doing a lot of front squats in the near future.
Nice job Qaash, now keep on keepin on through that transition period. Very easy to lose a few more inches while you treat yourself with solid foods haha
Fantastic progress Qaash! Your back/shoulder width is really noticable now! Your waist looks so much better and the moobs are disappearing. You might have to go shopping for smaller waist pants now.
Now that the fun part is over now is the gut check time to see just how good those taste changes are. Some people go too wild after the strict phase of the V-Diet and I think it is better to keep it tight for the two weeks after to make sure your body know you mean business and that this fat-loss will be on-going!
I’m still going to keep watching your progress to razor sharp abs and single digit bodyfat. Keep it going Qaash, you are making the most of your moment. Great job again!
