wow i was actually mentioned, surprise surprise. right now i have a stress fx so i am limited to pretty boy upper body stuff, no olympic lifting now. prior to injury:
snatch 120kg
c&j 145kg
front squat 160kg
back squat 185kg
push press 110kg
I think sometimes it’s easy to forget that despite religious/philosophical/political differences, every one of us shares a love of the iron, which is why we came to this site in the first place.

Old man here , don’t want to test those joints too much :)
No you don’t. The older I get the more important it is to manage pain and leave some in the tank. Also, make sure you NEVER, EVER, watch any Rocky movie while you are training. You’ll hurt for days and days.
for the last year or so , I have been working on mobility , doing a lot of ballistic and unilateral training, I have changed my work out to avoid over training, I try to work out every day, most is geared for combat

I will take your words to my hearth pat and I will make myself a big breakfest tomorow, I dont know what reindeer patty is, but I guess a omelet of six eggs and some slices of bread and butter will do the trick.
The reindeer patty was just a joke about where you live… Eat, train hard and angry. Train like it’s the World Cup and everything is at stake that day. You’ll be fine…
My core lifts:
Bench - 295 in a working set of at least 6 reps
Squat - 385 again in a work set of at least 6 reps
Pull ups - 8 reps with 70 lbs additional to BW
I never wasted a week by doing peak numbers or max days.
At the time I weighed a little over 280 and was gaining ~ one pound a day.
Now the story: I broke the #3 crank bearing in my '03 R1 and while riding a friends bike, a car turned in front of me. After a horrific crash I spent six weeks in a coma. (that is me in my AVI) I was left with a severe TBI, a skin graft on my R knee no leather pants and the nerve of my R arm was torn out of my spine, resulting in a brachial plexus avulsion. I have no use of my arm. With severe atrophy I will NOT lift because I would easily cause my spine to move out of alignment and I would then become more of a cripple during the remainder of my life. Instead of lifting four days I week, I swim during at least three of them.
This sheds much light as to why I know Adult Stem Cell Therapy is the solution to many of the problems which face millions of different people every day, around the world. I just happen to be one of them ; )

I was always wondering what that avatar was about…Well I did want a motorcycle, but stories like this make me rethink that idea. Granted this situation would have still been bad in a car, but not as. Unless it was a Smart, then your better off on the motorcycle.
