Whoa. I’m 6’4 and we weigh the SAME?
I’ve had the pleasure of setting down with Push and sharing a meal and conversation. The man is built like a fire plug, only denser.
That’s what I was imagining.

My meal and conversation with him have yet to happen though.
Offer him “all you can eat” sushi, he’ll show up.

(I kid, I joke)

Abs are a bit blurry, but visible. Whatever that translates into for bodyfat.

I can see my abs if I get the light right

Just noticed this. I think he means doing something like some kind of lateral raise, rear delt raise, rear delt focused face pull, reverse pec dec, front raises, etc after doing the press/pulling/core movements like bench pressing, bb rows, chins, etc.

I am pretty sure this is the right article

Yeah, that’s what I meant.

Did a single deadlift from a slight elevation at 150kgs/330lbs today. Quite pleased with that, tbh.

Very good Ephrem. See you’re gettin back already. Like me, you ain’t built for deadlifting either.

My 500lb pull. Granted, the mechanics of the lift need a major overhaul but I think the effort was there.

I’m game.

5 years ago, then I hurt my back.

Bench 315
Squat 425
Dead 395

Have been in full swing since August

Bench 275
Squat 325
Trap Dead 315

I have been focusing on strengthening my back from back injury, so I moved to Trap deads instead of regular deads. When you are 6’5" Dead lifts put a lot of strain on your upper lumbar region, so that is the reason for the trap.

Still have a long way to go, but have been focusing on Dr. Clay’s bodybuilding style workouts, and I am loving the transformation. The next 12 weeks I will be doing a cut since I am 315 lbs, and would like to get back down to 265 which was my College weight.

^ That’s pretty damn strong Push.

All of my lifts are in my log and in my hub. I’m not particularly strong, never have been, but I do what I can. I’ve always been better at manipulating BW. My all-time pull-up pr is 32, which I did while on active duty.

Other PRs:
Conventional Deads 402
Bench: 285
Front Squat: 242
Back Squat: 365 (it’s lower now 308 in my log)
Hang Clean: 176

Here is a 405 trap bar deadlift (hit 425 afterward)

If I think of it later I’ll try again today. I don’t have a way to record movies though. I can get like 10 or 11 with 315. Last time I tried I got 405 and could have gone for more than 1 rep, but it was at the end of a leg day so I didn’t and them jumped right to 495, but stopped halfway up because I got really lightheaded. Heavy singles make me nervous though. I always seem to hurt myself. I love the trap bar. but I don’t think I’ll ever catch Push.

I sent a picture of a trap bar with 335 on it yesterday to Tiribulus. I have no clue how to post pictures here. I lifted it 3 times. Could have gone to 5-6, but stopped because of concern for my back.

I was laid up for 2 days unable to feel my legs. I was 362 lbs and on my way to 400, and it was hard to wipe my own butt, but this episode got me back in gear. It took my wife and I 2 hours to get to an urgent care facility because I was in so much pain. So much pain there was vomiting. Every bump in the road was painful, but I could not feel my legs. Probably should have called an ambulance. They gave me muscle relaxers, ibuprophen, and narcotics to help with everything. 2 days later I could feel my legs again, and was able to start moving a little. Another day and I was back to normal. 2 days later I was in the gym doing cardio. 2 months later doing weights. That was 9 months ago. I have lost 50 lbs total weight.

Monday I benched 265 lbs with no spot.
Tuesday I trap bared the 335 lbs for 3 reps.
Friday I am going to try and squat 315.

I have really been concentrating on my weak points, grip, hammies, glutes, back, and hip flexors. Still getting stronger, but not going to push it to the limit.

^ good on you for losing the weight. Continued luck!

I have a pic over at bodybuilding.com of me 2 months ago. dmaddox77 is the username. I will update that pic in 8 more weeks. Doing weights for 45 mins then doing 15 minutes of cardio 4 days a week and then doing 30 minutes of cardio and flexibility work one day a week.
