I wouldn’t mind to hear more about your experiences with ketogenic dieting, T. But you can shove Jesus up your ass, allright?
There you go bein all mean to me again Ephrem. You were doin so good for quite a while too. Of course it would be my joy to answer any questions my old friend might have.

EDIT:One thing I have to tell you is that if it’s only been a couple weeks since you adapted you will most likely have a few ups and downs for a while as far as energy and how good you feel over all is concerned. Most people do for a few months here and there. Don’t take that as something being wrong. How are you doing your loading? Or are you?

What’s loading? I spent 2 hours in the gym this morning on an empty stomach and had the energy and power to keep going. No loss of strenght and stamina on an empty stomach, but what’s better yet, the will to even go to the gym at 9:15AM.

I’ve commited myself to 6 months at least of uninterrupted ketogenic dieting or until the fat is gone, whatever comes first.
Carb loading, like the Anabolic Diet calls for. Occasional glucose reloads to fuel anaerobic work like weightlifting. If you don’t need that for now, fine. All the better. Though some guys don’t you will probably find training energy suffering in the next couple to few weeks. The point of load days is to fill those glucose stores without readapting to carbs as your primary fuel source. If you do start loading at some point the first one will be a real trip. Drink lots of water and you’ll gain 8 or 10 pounds from morning to night while your muscles fill back up. You’ll feel like a sponge that’s been dipped in water. You’ll also get tremendous pumps in the gym. However you’ll probably be a bit sleepy too.

First PL meet on July 28. Looking to go 405/315/435, or just total 1150 one way or another. I’m also gunning for the USPF open 198 RAW record, which is 1151.7. There are no records for my age division (16-17), so whatever I get will be a default record, but I’d really like to break the open record. We’ll see how it goes.

Agreed.

Get rid of the broccoli… YUK!
lol. I was thinking spinach.
Not sure what’s wrong with me, but I frickin love spinach.
nothing wrong with it, especially in an omelet.

The cheese and bacon are more or less a given.
100% exactly correct. We have met upon common ground at last.
I make a mean egg and spinach souffle.
So now I know how you’ll pay for that room I’m going to let you use.
Deal!

…but do you have an oven? I tried making it in one of those “convection” thingies a few times and it never really came out right.

Good Luck! Train hard.

385-255-475, that is all.

Getting into training again now, but has to start somewhere
Weight 187lbs

Impressive Pushharder!

See this is still going. Shooting for a 700 pull before summer’s end.

Had to add PlateMates and duct tape the nickels (ran out of room on the bar) but I easily nailed a 600 lbs trap bar deadlift two weeks ago.

On another note I’m shooting for a 600 lbs conventional raw deadlift before my 52nd birthday at the end of this summer.
Kickin’ ass and takin’ names at 52? I hope to be that strong when I’m your age. Real impressive.

Since Belly Flop waded in there last week post election questioning if we actually lift here in the land of Politics and World Issues I thought I’d bump this thread.

After coasting for most of the summer and fall due to business and personal (son’s medical) I was able to nail 5 x 3 x 523 in trap bar deadlifts two nights ago.
Post election anger management, maybe?

Impressive nonetheless.
Congratulations.

Better but you can be greater.

I am sharing this with you to encourage you to eat more:

2 sets of 6 reps DL mixed grip @2225 lbs. Untrained and with minor injuries ( reason why untrained ).

EDIT: 225 lbs
