I love Spike. Let me just say that it makes juggling three little kids, their activities and my training schedule a hell of a lot easier. Maybe I’m just a caffeine junkie but it’s my FAVORITE. That is all… carry on.

Spike does absolutely nothing for me…I’m a Redline man.

I haven’t tried Redline in years. I bet I could handle it fine now. Used to make me crazy wired. One time I had one and then proceeded to paint the walls of the garage. ![]()
The photo shoot was fun this past weekend. I am not a very “showy” person so it was extremely awkward for me at first. Hindsight there are lots of things that I would have done differently. One being that I would have prepped more than two days for it!
It was fun nonetheless and it actually helped me arrive at the conclusion that I will give competing a whirl in 2014. No pics to share at this time but I’ll share some soon.
Chest Day
Feeling off today but I powered through my workout anyway. Rather than do the traditional bench work my training program calls for I went with the varying Hammerstrength machines instead. I usually wind up getting more out of those machines than I do with benching anyway. I then finished off with dips. I love doing dips. I haven’t tried doing them with a weight belt and added weight but I think I am more than ready for it.
It’s been two weeks and my neck/shoulder cramp is still jacking me up. I am going to have to go see our massage therapy guy again and soon. It’s really starting to piss me off.
Anyway, going to try to kick whatever is making me drag so that I can throw down tomorrow on posterior chain day. I only have a few more training days before our vacation so I want to make them really count!
vacation?
i’ll bet you and the hubby turn heads whenever you are out in publics
What was the shoot for catnip?
How often are you ladies doing delts?

Working on a couple special upcoming projects… More to come!

I have one day a week that I focus on shoulders but on chest day I incorporate dips which I feel too has helped develop my delts.
Shoulder Sunday!
Focused on super sets of laterals, front raises and presses seated and standing. Forced to go lighter in weight just to make it through. Leaves you aching because of the pump! Love it!
gettin shredded, miss Nip!
Mr. Nip better start payin attention, there may be a large Viking in your future…

My heart has ALWAYS had a place for a large viking! ![]()
Hey, I was going to come by and tell you to post some of those pics from the “photo shoot”, but now I think I understand what’s going on here. Looking forward to it…

LOL!
I will neither confirm nor deny…
I think Serge hit the nail on the head. Can’t wait to see it!
Got my groove back just in time to crank out a fabulous posterior chain day. Leaving tomorrow for some fun and sun. Going out on a high note is always great because I am going to be sore tomorrow plus sitting on a plane all day. We always say we won’t train while on vacation but we always do! ![]()

umm - pics of updated posterior chain, for science, of course~
Been offline for a while since I am healing back up. I had surgeries on both of my legs so I have been off of lifting for a few weeks. It has been hard for me to do nothing but walk but I know this rest has been good for me. I am cleared to lift at the end of next week but we are leaving town again. I honestly can’t wait! Plus… with the issues finally corrected in my legs I am REALLY looking for increased perfomance!
