Watching a few chinese training videos and see them do alot of push jerking but with just a very slight re-knee bend, when focusing on overhead strength. I ve been doin alot of push press at the moment and was wondering if you see any merit in swapping in the push jerk (with slight knee rebend) in instead of push press. Does it have much potential for hypertrphy if say it is held for 3 seconds at the top aswell?

I do not believe that it has more hypertrophy benefits than push presses or muscle snatches/muscle snatches with a clean grip (which the chinese lifters also do) and it is more technical/requires better timing.
A power jerk is much more technical than it looks and it really takes a while until you can lift as much (then more) than a push press, so there really is no added loading benefit.
