It may just be my stupid opinion, but I’d recommend doing dead stop reps. Your form changes doing reps, and in a race to improve a 1rm, that shouldn’t be allowed. On your last vid, your hips are a lot higher after rep 1. At least for me, doing reps dead stop has more of a carry over to my 1rm. Hope this isn’t taken as a slight or anything.

I imagine you are right, but, I really, really dislike more than 3 reps from a dead stop. My back tends to round really fast after the third.

I’ve found that doing what you hate is what usually gets you the best results.

Ok, I’m already in the 600 Squat/DL Race Thread, but nobody ever fucking posts in there anymore so I figure it can’t hurt to join this one as well for added motivation.

Current PR is 545 in April:

But for whatever reason, I have struggled with it since then. Got a meet coming up next weekend and will be going for 545 for my 3rd. After that, I will be focusing on my form a ton to get to 600. The strength is there, so once the form issue is worked out, ya’ll bitches are in trouble.

I’ll join in, I got strongman nationals in about 2 weeks but after that I plan to pull 600.

I pulled 565 yesterday for a 20lb pr.

I assume this is for raw lifts. My 600 i post will be raw. This close and being able to use one for my next comp thats how I’ve been training

I was in the Jaffery-Peterborough area but now I’m in Minneapolis for the next couple years.

Pulled 485 for an EASY single yesterday. I’m hoping to pull at least 525 in my meet next Saturday. I’m pretty bummed my deadlift hasn’t gone anywhere until recently for a while, but my bench and squat have gotten much stronger so I can’t complain.

I’m 6’2’ and I’m pretty sure I added ~94 pounds to my max after getting a picture next to Biotest HQ yesterday after stumbling on it’s location while looking for an urgent care at 9PM (traveling for biznass)
