I don’t know how you can make a gangster movie with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, two of the greatest actors of this generation, without it being fucking awesome.

fuck YES
As a kid, I was nearly obsessed with Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde, Capone… all those gangland characters. This film will be awesome!
Unfortunately, Channing Tatum is in the cast.
Looks good, I am still a bif iffy about Johnny depp
Damn, I thought this was going to be about Chuck D. But this looks pretty good, too.
I read that Johnny Depp acutally got to wear a suit that Dillinger actually wore himself. Apparantly it fit him perfectly.
Movie looks good.

It figures you’d notice that first. ![]()
Seriously though, who’s he related to in Hollywood? I can’t think of any other explanation for the movies he’s been in lately.

Hehe
That’s what I don’t understand. In spite of having no discernable talent, his rise to stardom has been nothing short of meteoric.
Two words: ‘casting couch’…
I’ll give the guy some credit, because he reportedly recommended Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the role of Cobra Commander.
Still, the fact that Tatum would generally be considered to be the more successful of the two leaves a bitter taste in my mouth…Then again, if GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra bombs, I’m confident that Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s career would survive.
Hopfully, Channing Tatum won’t be so lucky, and he’ll go back to modelling…
Damn this looks good, I am continually impressed with the range that Johnny Depp can reach. At first I was curious to how he would pull off being a gangster, but it seems he does it well.

He has a talent of knowing who to blow.
When Michael Mann dies, so will a part of me.
Anyone else notice that a lot of the scenes looked amateur-ish because of the shutter speed or whatever?
Should be good regardless.

Nope.
The preview for this played before Watchmen, and it looked fantastic. Michael Mann’s stuff consistently looks far from amateurish.
