Fuck physical appearance.
It is all about how she feels like in your presence.

wow you and I do actually agree on something.
I have enjoyed this thread. I don’t think you are correct at all Orion, but I got some good lulz and have to say that you’ve made a very good argument in places.

Just try it and see if it works and dont blame me if it does.
Exactly that is what a father is called. I would not ask the guy who is over the hill, alone and still pumping 20 year olds from the local bar. How is that person knowledgeable about successful relationships?
Over the hill?
You Sir, must have me confused me with a woman.
Well nobody has seen a picture of you, so…

Now you are going back to gay shit, what is it with you.
Friend of mine is 48 works out, in shape etc, married a girl 13-14 years younger than him and they have a few kids together now. He constant battle in their relationship is the age difference. So like normal bring all the graphs you want but the real world is different.

Without getting too personal, mind elaborating on the age-difference issues? I would have expected at their ages, all that would have evened out.

Of course that is what the graphs say.
Some of the issues are the fact he has experience to dwell on from his past to help make decisions in regards to life (raising kids, financial etc). She lacks this experience and is an independent smart woman, so it causes many issues between the two. I have seen this first hand and him and I have discussed this. He was married before with a child so its a blended family which is another stressor. I do not discuss their sex life, he has a 4 and 2 year old with her so I assume no problems in bedroom. If anything their issues are what I stated prior.

Because she has problems deferring to his experience? Not accepting that he might actually know what he’s talking about?
because, obviously, a subjective assessment of an anecdotal evidence beat all the datas compiled, measured and analyzed by a whole scientific field.

Damnit man you guys are always so fucking serious.
Good lord go outside and get off the computer for once.
Sorry, I just spent a few hours in the currently snowy streets of Versailles. I earned a little computer time.
And btw my girlfriend is younger than some of my students and despite this, we have no “relationships issues” whatsoever.
Why ?
Because we both knew what to expect from the very beginning.
And we both agreed on a simple rule/principle : “i’m not responsible for your happiness. You are”.
Most relationship issues comes from the fact that people don’t know what they want and/or want more than they can get out of it.

Question about this whole chicks dig assholes thingy.
Chicks dig assholes but they always marry nice provider type guys, right?
Could this mismatch be the root cause of a lot of relationship strife out there?
Probably as about as much as men fucking around does, which means not much.
It was always there though.
I think the unpleasant fact is that for a functional society you have to reign in female sexual instincts because you cannot really reign in male ones.
It takes massive slut shaming to use a modern term, a woman has to be sure that if she has extramarital sex or gets a child out of wedlock her life is practically over.
Combine that with marrying them off young and preferably a virgin and she will be in her 30s and have her 4th child before she can even think to stray.
The mismatch will always be there, but it most be enforced with a whole society behind it or else men get extremely violent or incredibly passive, because, why bother.
That is not what is happening now though, we have pulled out all the stops and in fact reward such behavior and men have started to react to the change in women.
We have aquandered social capital it took centuries to build.
A few years ago at a family function, my dad AND my brother both ganged up on me and told me I was pussy whipped. The fact that my wife and I have a successful and happy marriage where we both fall into our necessary roles without nagging had been perceived by my bro and dad to be a weakness on my part.
What a joke. My brother’s marriage didn’t last 3 years, and although my dad’s still married to my mom for over 50 years, he admitted later to me that only 17 of those years were happy.
A little give-and-take, compromise without losing integrity, and open communication within a marriage can sometimes be perceived by others inaccurately - as pussy-whipped.
