Hello, my name is Sgt. Savage and I’m taking a few minutes out of my time fighting terrorists and keeping America safe at night to talk to you about an even more important topic: double, triple, or even quadruple posting the same topic.
Now I know what some of you guys are thinking. You think “Sgt. Savage, how do I know when my topic has been posted? I don’t immediately see it and so I HAVE to repost it! Everybody has to help me figure out what to call the guy who dispenses Gatorade to NFL pros!”. I understand that you think that your topic is important, and in some cases it will provide great amusement to the various people who come to these especially fine message boards.
The problem comes when people, sometimes through inattention, post the same topic multiple times. Which one should people respond to? Which ones should the mods delete? It’s these kinds of questions, and the time it takes to answer them that caused Herpes in the first place and nobody wants more of that.
To that end, let me offer this helpful hint so that you don’t cause the invention of Super Herpes (it’s lurking, and it might have a diet question next week): do NOT hit the submit button more than once. You aren’t using a T3 connection, and therefore shouldn’t expect to have your thread posted at the speed of thought. Go refill your drink, your topic will be posted when you get back.
Only you can prevent double, triple, or more posting and even more than that, only you can prevent Super Herpes. Now you know how to be a responsible poster, and remember kids:
How about the Mod’s just make the system not accept a post from the SAME person with the SAME subject field on the same day. Not a very hard thing to program at all especially when all the info is stored in a database as it is on any typical website.
I guess Sgt. Savage was just what they changed his name to in later cartoons to be more PC (In G.I. Joe Extreme series, for example, Sgt. Savage was the resident beef cake). Ah well… I watched the 90’s shows more than the 80’s show, so I guess I have to admit wrongness.
STOP SUPER HERPES! YOU CANT STOP THE MESSAGE!

I thought it was St. Slaughter… Lynch the imposter GI Joe guy!
Sgt. Slaughter was a pro wrestler.
Sgt. Savage was a Joe.
So now you know, and knowing is half the battle!
G.I. JOOOOOOOOOOOE
Not that I remember… St. Slaughter played himself. He would even be in all the comercials in person.
Where are you getting this Sgt. Savage thing?
Oh I see… he was a different character… not the pic of St. Slaugher you have above from the cartoon.
So I guess I always knew and hense why I won the battle. YOOOOOOOO JOOOOOOO

Yes, because it NEVER happens that you hit post and you get a white page with error 404: connection failed, indicating that your post didn’t even go through smh

I get that 2-3 times per day, and yet I’ve never double posted.
Apparently this thread failed, as there are now two “Attention Fiirefighters” threads posted one after another.
Sorry OP, you’ve been ignored by the world.
