Protruding Clavicle

Are there any specific exercises I can do to help put muscle on the upper pec area, and the space in between the clavicle and trapezius?

Thanks

WTF? Kid, you need muscle ALL OVER, not just on your upper pec area. Try lifting weights and gaining some weight.

You don’t look weird considering your level of muscle now … the clavicle does not seem to be protruding too much.

Are you new to lifting weights?

TNation has much info, it will take you hours just to read the basics, but it is worth the effort. Don’t make up your mind until you have read a lot.

Read the beginners’ threads

I won’t look for the link for you, you must have the initiative and do so

I also recommend this book

I would say that is the best thing for a beginner, teaches you the most important lifts, saves injury, gives you a solid guideline to get started.

You don’t need any fancy routines at this stage. You need basic exercises, a basic routine, and increasing weights MASSIVELY every workout, in 12 weeks you will be transformed.

You might still see your collarbone but it will be surrounded by muscle.

As for diet you need to eat more than you currently are eating, possibly as much as 2-3x as much. But as a beginner and doing a good routine and eating say 50% more (which you will want to do since you will be hungrier) you should do well. Just DO NOT CUT BACK ON THE EATING, with some crazy idea like trying to lose fat.

You start by finding a weight room. Before you worry about shit else, you go to the gym FIRST and then eat on the way home. Too many people spend their time looking for the perfect program before they ever actually start moving. You can learn a lot on your own by simply watching others with more experience.

In fact, what is your current concept of lifting weights? What do you THINK you need to be doing? “I don’t know” is not an answer.

I have a medium build, and fairly large ribcage - when I’m very lean, my ribs and collarbone are really apparent - even moreso than other girls when they are very lean because my bone structure’s just a bit bigger.

Solution: gaining weight. No specific exercise is likely to help imo - just lift lots and eat. Obviously your upper body is where you want to focus but don’t focus on specific upper body splits, just hit it all hard and heavy. And of course don’t neglect legs and core.

If you’re new to lifting make sure you’ve got a really solid idea of good form because it can really make a difference to your results.

I should have used the search before I posted, but I found a great article that explains it all “shaping the chest”.

you must have some ridiculously sharp knees.
