Chest Muscle Comparison

Been lifting for a couple weeks now, trying to get some muscle due to the lack of height. Want to compensate, yanno.

Well I noticed while looking in the mirror that my one chest muscle, the right one which is my dominant side, is much more round then my left. What I mean by this is: The inner bottom corner of my dominate side, the chest muscle looks round while the left side muscle looks like its missing the smooth roundness. It looks like there is a dent/chunk of muscle missing.

I am assuming this means the one side has a bigger development so I am asking for help. To target the inner chest I do flys, so if I wanted to just work on the left side to bring it to shape with the right should I increase the left side for like 2 weeks or so?

So like I can do 30 Pound flys with each hand. Step up the weight on my left side for a bit till it equals out? I need to know how to fix this.

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to being human. You can thank your parents for that one. I really don’t think it’s that noticeable, nor do I think there’s a whole lot you can change. Flys do not work the inner pectoralis, but rather outer. Close grip bench and dips are your best bet. But honestly, you’ve got a long way to go to start worrying about symmetry. Put some meat on you first!

nothing works the inner/outer. people wanting more definition in their pecs simply need more hypertrophy. the insertion points and origins of your muscles are all genetics, cant change it. my biceps are high as fuck like woody allen but i just dont care anymore because i cant change it and it helps my clean grip flexibility.

eat more food, lift 5lbs more than you did last week, do it for a few years

Alright guys. Sounds good to me. Guess I made a mountain out of an ant hill (I think thats the saying). I will just continue on with my progress.

Good call. You just need more mass all around. If you want to try to even thing out a bit, spend more time with the dumbbells and do more single arm work. There’s no point in getting too specific since there is no such thing as in inner or outer pectoralis. There IS an upper and lower pec that can be developed separately but the concept that flys can target the center of the chest is false. You just have to hypertrophy the whole muscle.

BTW, it’s mole hill.

you’ve been lifting for a couple weeks but joined the site months back?

Am I missing something?

if you make it a focus point, i see no reason that you shouldnt be ready to compete late spring/early summer.

Your left nipple being 2 inches higher than the right is much more noticeable. It’s probably just a result of bad posture.

Yea bad posture for that one. You can see how my shoulder is tilted.

But yea I joined the site back a couple months ago because I was doing a bunch of research on different products and techniques. I wanted to build a routine and just get some knowledge on what exercises work what before I just went out on a free for all. Plus I needed time to get some money to join a gym beings I have nothing at my house.

I just recently joined a gym, Id say about a couple of weeks ago so I have been there every day for about an hour.

Don’t worry about it. Seriously. Just learn how to lift and eat.

so when are you competing man?!
