Protein in Meat

I want to start getting 1 gram of protein now per pound (of me). I searched pretty hardcore on this and other sites but all I could find was this:

http://www.krispin.com/protein.html

Which is pretty wimpy. Anybody got a better source, Thanks.

What exactly are you looking for? Information about food choices? Details concerning how much protein you should consume? Articles on the topic?

Beef
chicken
milk
yogurt
tuna
nuts
peanutbutter
protein powder
cottage cheese
cheese
pork
the other other white meat (nttawwt)
turkey
squirel
fish?
oysters
clams
crabs
lobsters
eggs

Regards,
DD

Edit: Sorry. I forgot bacon…

Heh, I was trying to find the amount of protein per once in meats, I’m starting to weigh out my portions now so I can be sure how much protein I’m eatin’…But, that site I mentioned has only one listing for all “lean meats and fish” 25-30 grams per 3 1/2 OZ.

Just trying to find something more comprehensive.

Honestly I think you’re thinking into this WAY too much. Just eat stuff off my list and drink a few protein shakes and you should be ok. I havn’t counted grams of protein since 10th grade.

That seems fairly accurate and quite comprehensive. Size=deck of cards—protein=25-30grams.

Size=2 decks of cards—Protein=50-60 grams and if you’re really advanced you can go for fractions <:-} Seriously, I agree with the other guy, you’re makin more of a project out of the calculations than is needed, but http://www.nutritiondata.com has good listings too.

Spartan Law dictated that every man eat at least 2 pounds of meat a day, to keep his courage up. Do that, have some milk, and don’t forget a post workout protein shake. You should be getting plenty, and if your still to low, dip into the cheese.

The Spartans didn’t have my bills, but I’m a big believer in meaty manfood as a mainstay muscle chow.

You got some sort of research to back this up, or are you just making assumptions?
