Although Polo’s kinda badass.

Anyway, here’s a theory:
Protein powder consumption would probably be pretty much exclusive to those who train in gyms. Which is still kinda new in the Punjab. A large percentage of gays among them? We are talking about a high risk group, especially in 3rd world countries, where homosexuality is not openly tolerated.

Also, the study does not say pp CAN get you positive. That would be quite a scientific discovery, published all around the world - “New AIDS vector discovered!”
What makes India the most unathletic nation in the world? I’m not Indian I’m just wondering why…is it they physically suck at sports…or the mindset in that country is no to sports so no one even thinks about it?
lol, to be fair; india’s not that bad in cricket…

Sure, I believe it.
And by “it,” I mean that there’s a correlation between the two. There’s correlations between all sorts of unrelated things (such as the ice cream sales and crime rates example).
What seems odd to me is that somebody would design a study with the sole purpose of determining if a link between protein powder and AIDs exists… how do you even come up with that?
correlation =/= link
Yes, that is in fact what I was getting at.

So is there gonna be another quilting forum raid just like a few years back?

it is most likely multiple factors…

but, it’s not caused by something arbitrary like ice cream…that’s the point i was trying to make anyway…
The icecream in India gives you aids as well.

Aids cream.

This whole thread is Yatta.

Otherwise known as the one sport so horrifically boring even the british just let them have it?

Why is India the most unathletic nation in the world?

Because they just don’t care?
I don’t really know, but take a look at their dozen or so olympic medals.
Then look at their population.

They don’t eat beef. Cows are sacred.
Prof X is considered the Devil in India.

Ironically, India is one of the places in which the earliest forms of weight lifting were practiced. We’ve all heard the story about Milo of Crotona as an example of lifting among the ancient Greeks. But the Greeks weren’t the only ones who trained with weights. The ancient Aryans (the real historical ones from India - not Hitler’s wannabes) used to lift and carry polished stones and weighted clubs to build up their strength for fighting. Guess that tradition died out.

For the last time, it wasn’t “Devil” that they chanted when I got off the airplane. It was “Holy VISHNU!, the dark beast of beef has arrived so we must save our cows and our daughters over the age of 17 lest our sacred cow be damned and all of our ancestors shall be black and bald and destroy all refrigerator contents in one sitting!

Yes, that was a mouthfull for an entire crowd to chant at one time but I assume they had been practicing.

LOL

Why would they be fearful of their ancestors being black and bald? Did they see you riding around in a DeLorean with a flux capacitor in it?

Dude, the vast majority of Indian people struggles to get their daily bowl of rice. Their daily work load is huge! Not enough time and money to do sport activities. In fact those people are pretty fit, but because of poor nutrition they’re skinny.

If we’re speaking about India’s new rich those people are too busy to make money, plus they prefer to spend their free time spending money and showing off their wealth. Also those new rich didn’t lose that peasant mentality. Third world farmers don’t waste time chasing a ball, running or lifting weight…for the sake of it.

China has similar problems with poverty.
But they accumulate FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR more medals with one olympic participation then India managed in all it’s history.
There are a lot of developing countries all over the world that have at least some ambition in a few diciplines.

India has none.

Dude, well over a Billion (!) people.
That cannot be explained with mere poverty.
