Try goblet squats, you’ll have no choice but to have good form.
P.S.: I’m pretty sure no one in The States knows what the hell an “up and go” is ![]()

Take a stance that you can handle to get to parallel. If you can’t do it because of hip pain, either take a closer stance, improve your hip flexibility, or stop being a wimp. Squats aren’t supposed to feel nice. Take the heaviest weight you can handle without dipping forward and getting buried and keep squatting it till you can squat more. You aren’t “perfecting your form” by squatting with an empty bar. You’re giving yourself an excuse to not have to squat heavy, because squatting heavy is hard.
