Price for 10ml of Test Cyp 200mg/ml?

I use Telehealth to order my Testerone. I found a local place that can prescribed it, and call it into a local compounding pharmacy. I’m trying to weigh out the cost benefit for me. The local pharmacy could only give me a range, but I am curious to what others pay to see if it’s similar to what I’m use to.

Thanks for the feedback.

Not exact but my 10ml or 100mg/ml costs me $20 a month after insurance I assume.

I get mine prescribed through a local doctor and it is sent to my door from the compounding pharmacy for $81 for a 10 week supply. 200mg/ml

Pre-65 years of age, I had to pay about $100 for 10mL of 200mg/mL of testosterone cypionate.
Post 65 years of age, I pay $10 for 10mL of 200mg/mL of testosterone.

my insurance won’t cover a 10mL bottle, but I pay ~$30 out of pocket for it with GoodRx app

No reason to go to compound pharmacy anymore. Use good rx.

The 1ml/200mg vials I use.

My insurance covers 4 of those a month for $10. A little more on goodrx

I expect in the future I will just use good rx. Don’t have to bother getting form filled out every year.

I really have no idea the process with GoodRx. I’ve been going through Defy Medical and paying ~$140 for a 10ml vial, and a decent amount for JCG as well. If Defy is teh one prescribing this to me, how am I able to go through GoodRx for these prescriptions?

From my reading…I don’t think they let you go anywhere else. :heavy_dollar_sign::heavy_dollar_sign: It’s also more complicated with an out of state dr prescriping controlled substance.

Once you got your protocol down, you can try to find a local doctor that will prescribe it like a urologist or an endocrinologist.

A full thread on your question. My cost has dropped from $50 to $30. But the $30 comes with restrictions.

Mine is the same with ins. But with Goodrx 4mL is about $21

Probably not with defy, cos they have a deal with Empower set up. My clinic had an option to just get an Rx sent to my CVS and insurance covers the meds. They are in Florida, and I’m still not sure how they’re able to Rx me out of state (may have to do with Covid) but I don’t question it lol

Is everyone here using GooxRx or having testosterone covered by insurance is having TRT prescribed by a local provider? If I am unable to do this through Defy Medical, I will need to establish a local provider.

What city do you live in? Maybe we got recommendations.

My urologist near nyc prescribes my testosterone. I go to a commercial pharmacy. Covered by insurance if no insurance would use goodrx

I’m in Durham, North Carolina. Any recommendations appreciated.

Have you talked to Defy yet to see what they’ll let you do? Otherwise you call start calling clinics and seeing if writing a local Rx is an option

Defy said they could not call in Testosterone or HCG, as I’m in North Carolina, and laws do not allow a clinic in Florida to call it in to a pharmacy in North Carolina.

Also - Is everyone who is having their insurance or GoodRx kick in for their TRT picking this up at a compounding pharmacy? Or do regular pharmacies such as Walgreens supply this as well?

I go to CVS and Walgreens now. I just got 10ml of 200mg Cypionate for 42$ at Walgreens with GoodRX.

Unbeatable compared to what I was paying before.

Generally a pharma testosterone is going to be better than a compounding pharmacy testosterone. Compounding pharmacies are held only to very loose tolerances. I think I could produce testosterone out of raws in my kitchen to half the allowable tolerance they are held to. Not saying it won’t work, it just isn’t as consistent of a product.

I believe COVID changed this. Rules regarding out of states Rx for C3 drugs were lightened due to the pandemic. My clinic in Florida sends my Rx to my CVS in Virginia.

@swoops39 - What clinic in Florida do you use?
