Anyone tried the two day template and whitch of them did you use?
As the spring is near I will cut back to two days in the gym and up the running to three times a week. In the fall/winter I go back to three gym sessions and two running (indoor).
Jim, would you suggest doing FSL with the 2 day template found in the reloaded article here on Tnation?
I just finished running a two-day / week template. It was pretty basic.
Day 1
Squat, FSL
Bench, FSL
Day 2
Deadlift, FSL
Press, FSL
Nothing revolutionary or too damn exciting when it came to accessory work. I liked it because it fit my schedule and I didn’t have to stretch a 3 week cycle out to 6 weeks.
I’m in airport right now and don’t remember the exact program in the article. But I have most of the guys I work with use the squat/bench and dead/press done 2 days a week. The supplemental work is always changing from cycle to cycle but you can do FSL on each lift.
When you are doing press and bench work, use the same assistance work as shown in Beyond book: how to superset the pulling movements. It’ll keep the time down and allow for extra work too.

Awsome Jim! Hope you have a plesant flight!
Nice timing on posting this question. I’m about to start a job where at least for a while, I’m going to have to use 2 days a week with conditioning thrown in and have been wondering how I’m going to set it up.
